Jones' comment was insensitive given the recent death of her father. However, the faux outrage from labor desperately trying to tie this to Abbott smacks of desperation.
Some facts:
Abbott and the liberals went out of their way to ensure that JG had a week to grieve without distractions. This has been ignored.
AJ is not a liberal party office bearer, and the student club he was addressing, while bearing the name "young liberals" is not affiliated to the liberal party in any way.
There is a plethora of inappropriate comments made about liberal leaders, by labor and union officials, for which Labor has never once offered an apology.
AJ is a "shock jock" who thrives on outrageous comments. This is unlikely to dent his standing as the single most popular commentator. The advertisers that are pulling away, will most probably return, or others will take their place.
Finally shame is not a medical condition. Mr Gillard was JG's greatest fan and proud of all the lies she told.
