I see a very basic and clear ignorance from "some" people on this thread. Some people STILL, in these enlightened days, refuse to accept the HUGE differences between Islam and "fundamentalist" Islam.

Rioters, murderers, terrorists and Islamic bigots are still referred to as if they are mainstream Muslims. The MAJORITY of Muslims live in first world countries and stable countries, and are no more dangerous than Christians.

Some people here need to drop their anti Muslim bigotry, stop listening to the right wing shock jocks and gain a more educated and tolerant world view.

Pete, I am the first to agree that not all Muslims are bad people, in fact, the bad ones make up a small percentage.

However, they, good or bad have chosen to follow their leaders, not ours.

So in my opinion, this means that their leaders have a duty to make sure that their people follow our rules.

Obviously, they (the Muslim leaders) have failed and, if they are incapable of controlling the violent actions of their people, their people should either stop following their leaders, or leave.

The Greeks, Chineese, Italians, poms etc etc that we have accepted here have one thing in common, they are not taught to hate, nor do they provided thier little kids with placards suggesting beheading.

And remember, while not all Muslims are terrorists, you can pretty much guarantee all terrorists are Muslims.

To risk letting just one extremist potential terrorist into our great, peace loving nation, is ome risk too many in my view.

What planet do you live on.

Saudi Arabia/Iraq/Lebanon/Iran/Pakistan/Egypt/Palestine even Turkey/Albania/Bosnia are not 1st world countries. Apart from the major cities most small towns don't have electricity or paved roads. None of them are what anyone would call stable. Most of the people in the countryside still live very basic 16th century lives based on 16th century customs. They still practice bride stealing, etc in some areas of the Balkans & around the Dead Sea. Even in the Christian areas.

Of course, if you are referring to Fundamentalist Christians in the US then I agree & I put them on a par with the Taliban.

My ex next door neighbour paid us a visit a few days ago. She brought her American boyfriend with her. I asked him about the Fundamentalist Christians. He said that he lives close to a town in Kansas where they are all Christian Fundamentalists. He said that it's a scary place. They are also Domsdayists waiting for the Lord to return, "next week." At least they are quite funny, well, they would be if they weren’t so scary.

Lord help us & keep us safe from the weirdos.

Rehctub's last post is a good example of what I'm talking about when I refer to uneducated,unworldly, anti Muslim bigotry. Rehctub wrote that good Muslims here have chosen to not follow our leaders. What uneducated rubbish from Rehctub. Good Muslims are JUST as law abiding as good Christians and good atheists and good Jews and good Buddhists etc etc.
