I must confess, what prompted me to begin a thread based on the vagaries of the spirit world was OLO’s most avid poster on the subject “One Under God”. Maybe I am alone in wondering what motivations prompt a fellow human to attempt to convince a world of disbelievers of the urgency to accept a personal philosophy loosely based on a mix of religion and philosophy. Intriguing as that is, I have been left to wonder in times past, and during periods of continuous bad luck, if we are not in fact “picked off” and stalked by the Devil himself for none other reason than for his own amusement.
My references to Christianity above are used to draw on its rich source of references to the world of spirits and the spiritual; it is self-defeating and too confining using Christianity as the only base of reference to explain the inexplicable happenings of bad luck that plague us all on occasions, but when raised and educated as a Christian I am confidently acquainted with its teachings to use them as examples from “near-by”.
So may we swing on the presumption that our bad luck is not all of our own making and the responsibility for the three speeding tickets in two weeks is not entirely ours to bear but simply the “cross we must bear” patiently while we await a change of fortune or for the Devil to move on? That is the question

Thanks Diver_Dan and One Under God for the wonderful thread! Never wish to see a creature in pain or suffering, just killed some mice and cockroaches during a plague years ago and felt sad and regretful afterwards. Spiders I place outside on a mop. Snakes I allow to slither away.

Jinny. I have read your story, with mixed thoughts, but I see you as a strong female with cause.

Truth Jinny..........I sit here with what I see as real as one can get. How others think, I cant and wont be held responsible for, since all I have is my own mind. I see it as the great( Spirits of the ) part of the central part as asked in your questions as to why and where all it began, as a more of the mind development of evolution as explained by the many.

If Iam well and true, then all that's going on must be unreal? But like a great movie, not all is as, and never will be.

And Iam fine with all that's as well as can be.

Jinny! For these people who are what, a still moving world can only make it interesting in the real sence, rather than the land of the dreams.

There is one gentleman that has spent his whole life looking at all aspects of this questionable understanding of energy that is left over after death, and has found zero in all of his fifty years of research.
