Peter The believer, you claim to be a Christian yet your post above shows you are in denial about the history of EXTREME violence within Christianity over the past thousands of years. You CLEARLY don't understand the meaning of the word "hate" - - - - - if someone such as I points out the history of horrific Christian violence it does NOT mean we "hate" Christians as you have falsely implied. What it means is that we recognise REALITY and HISTORY, and don't live in a fairytale mindset of denial. My wife was a Christian when we married in 1949, my children are Christians. My children live in the REAL world, where they understand and recognise that Christianity has an element to it's history that is SHOCKINGLY violent and intolerant.

I see you realise you can't deny my bible quote. As you know there's MANY more quotes that say similar things. It's a FACT, whether you wish to openly admit it or not, that Jesus says that nonbelievers (simply the act of not believing in what is now known as the "Christian" god) will bring ETERNAL damnation and torment. Now THAT, in my opinion, is one of the worst manifestations of sheer HATE known to mankind.

Christianity, throughout it's long history, has been well known for it's brutality, violence and intolerance. It's been no different in this regard from many of the other belief systems.

But these days nobody "hates" in quite the same way as a fundamentalist, intolerant Christian. Yes, they love their "own", but are quite happy to see millions of decent people condemned to eternal torment and damnation because they don't believe in "their" version of god. They wouldn't call that "hate", they call it other things, but HATE IT IS! It's one of the most extreme forms of hate and intolerance.

Love to hate?
Strange thing for a Christian to say.
And untrue
I know of no single person I hate.
No race or creed I hate.
Hate may be a defense thing but it is not something every one does.
My worst enemy in the whole world, is also his own enemy.
His actions hurt him more than me, and I do not hate him.
Strange idea hate, from a Christian.

to quote the master...lol..<<..Jesus was quite explicit in his condemnation of those who would not follow his teachings, saying to his disciples,<<<ok agreed he WAS quite specific

returning to the quote..<<" And if anyone..>>..[quite specufic...<<..will not receive you in your words,>>>in other words will not hear[listen] to your words..ie love neighbour..love god...you will be reborn...other wpords regarding god/grace/love mercy...ect..

<<..shake off the dust from your feet>>>an ancient insult..[in tribal societies..is to show your displeasure...by showing the souls of your feet...notably there is the infamous case of a PROTESTOR...showing his displeasure..at a certain gwBUSCHE...by throwing his shoes...

this is in the same non-murderous[pacxifist],..solution to revealing..ones displeasure..to the source of the displeasure..[or dis comfort]...ie not murder.....thus explaining the specific...HOW

followed specificlly by the when..<<..as you leave that town.>>

but in case that isnt clear he said further<<..Truly,..I say unto you,..it shall be more tolerable..on the day of judgment..for the land>>>..specificly note THE land..<<of Sodom and Gomorrah,>>>i not those persons inhabiting ..the land[or towns..etc

<<..than for that town".>>>notinhg again the SPECIFIC USE OF SHOWING DISPLEASURE upon a town/land...by showing of the feet[by shaking off the dust]...not bombing the living ccccrap out of them...like that busche dude did...

..who got his payment in full via two shoes...[not a car bomb...not by murder of his [busches]..fellow yankis...

not by blood...but by the sole..[of a peacfull soul]...who managed to get ,more attention to/by.. his peacefull protest..than any home grown yanki unibomber...bombing his own

forgive me master..but are we reading the same teachings?

to reply belly...yes some who claim to be xtian...simply never botherd to read the rule book..[the NEW testiment...bring the NEW covenant]...

but then again they are but children..in their faith[..oh we of little faith]..trusting others to read the TEST-i meant..for us..then whine..when..we get as we earn

Master (or whoever you are today),

By now you should be wondering about your continual pattern of thinking and saying something outrageous (your party trick) that gives normal, sane people a window into your strange, threatening world of BPD. Upon noticing how some start at your weird 'take' of the world, you then have to weave a cover story which is often far from convincing.

It is impossible for you to accept but be assured that the young Christian missionaries who knock on your door are not there to plot against you or otherwise bring you down.

BTW, how could you ever have become a "Scouts Master" (your claim, heh, heh) if you didn't take the oath? Or were you fibbing at the time? Sorry, but your endless confabulation dogs you.

None of the Christians I have come across have ever harmed me and all have wished me well. Most volunteered moral support without asking and without knowing what my needs might be. We have used church facilities, given without strings and where necessary at a peppercorn fee. I am continually heartened by the unselfish giving and sacrifice of Christians, who care for the dregs of life while others walk by. I am proud to do voluntary work with them, while full knowing that my commitment is often shamefully not as strong and certainly never as ongoing as theirs.

Master, you cannot leave or forgive your past - which is a pity because the Lord's Prayer contains within it the most simple and effective advice that if taken can release people from the torment of recriminations and personal baggage (which your life must be full of). Simply put, forgive and forget. That means forgiving yourself first, then your parents (difficult for you?) so you can do it for others. Bargain!

Other than that, I sincerely wish you the peace that has consistently escaped you. You would not believe that of course.

Belly you obviously haven’t met enough people.[smile]

Right now I don’t hate anyone and I don’t look for anyone to hate but wow, tell ya, someone gives me reason and it is a pretty full on emotion and I’ll embrace it with the whole of my being.

It is often unsustainable though and energy sapping and usually winds down to a complete and absolute denial of another’s existence.

Do I love to hate? Yeah, and to date it has been individuals only.

Looking back I believe they were worthy of it at the time and probably damn lucky I don't own a gun.

Easy explanation.Basically we are all very insecure beings.Pecking order is very important to security,so we have a nasty habit of making others feel inferior in order to secure our own social status.Hence in our own mind's eye we think we are better than those whom we have endeavoured to subjugate.

Study the Chimps, nothing much has really changed. We are just a little more sophisticated in how we seek dominance of others to feel more secure.
