Hi Paul,

Will he back away tail between legs, or entrench himself further into his own mess.

Trumps lying about everything, achieved nothing.
He killed the old Ayatollah, now his son replaces him.
From what I hear this man is more radical than his father.
- And more likely to go towards nuclear weapons as a deterrent.
The old Ayatollah who the one standing against nuclear weapons with the fatwa he issued, many were making a case that 'North Korea has nukes and they don't get targeted with attacks'.
The new one, well they killed his wife and kids and father, and seriously injured him...

I think this whole entire mess was Trump and Netanyahu's doing.
U.S. negotiated a deal with Iran with the JCPOA - 'removal of sanctions for a promise not to enrich', they kept to that deal, and Trump backed out of it during his first Presidency.
Why was it not a good deal from the U.S. point of view?
Why did they back out of it?

I think it was a trap to GET the Iranians to enrich.
Back out of the deal reimpose U.S. sanctions, but have the Europeans continue to try to enforce it.

So Iran was like 'We did a deal, and they broke the deal and reimposed sanctions, so what are we going to do now?'
'Obviously, if they go against their terms of the deal, then we need to go against our terms of the deal also, firstly on principle as protest against them backing away from a deal made in good faith, but secondly as a bargaining chip for the removal of sanctions'.

This set in motion Iran's enrichment, AND the Wests 'justification to attack' and here we are.

But the War with Iran has been on the menu for decades regardless
'War against those who support Palestinians'
It's always been a long term goal for U.S. and Israeli foreign policy.

Happy Easter to you and your family
Same for everyone else here too.

Hey Fester,
Here's a video of a woman in Iran, says she got busted under the hijab law, paid a fine.
Now she's helping at a checkpoint in Tehran, they even hand out snacks.
Is she genuine do you think, or the kind that will spring into action the moment 'the regime' falls?

I wonder if Iran's more unified in 'something' now than any western country is in their own claimed 'unity and shared values';
More unity in 'resisting attack and humiliation by foreign powers'.

Hi AC,

As with Venezuela, the US won't bring the regime to heel until it controls the purse strings.

In response to Armchair Critic- For me President Trump when he was saying "get your own oil" was really saying "freedom isn't free". But that's just me. I may have more to say later- please keep providing me with ammunition in the meantime.

No point worrying about when this war will end.
There will be war every 50 to 100 years until we all all submit to Allah.
It might be that "they" are getting impatient and as has been in the
last 100 years been more frequent wars.
All we can do is increase our military spending.
Stop blaming Trump he is just the latest Crusader pushed until someone
had to respond.
