The Jewish Council of Australia is a Left Wing organisation; naturally, or it wouldn't have referred to here by a left wing poster who thinks that he/she only has to bring up someone or something else who shares his/her extreme Left views to make them correct. The JCA would probably appeal to Yuyutsu, who often criticises Netanyahu, the man trying to protect his family in Israel - and doing a good job of it. David Adler of the AJA is the go-to man in Australia for all matters Israeli. Apart from being the leader of AJA, a member of his family was slaughtered on October 7 by Palestinian terrorists. You aresholes preaching against Isreal and Jews from the safety of Australia are truly ignorant, nasty people.

Talking about nasty people?

No rational, thinking person, of any religion, can ignore
the appalling acts of terrorism being done. And should
not defend such things. The cruelty, insanity and continual
murder are facts. But, ask yourselves - Why?

We need to know about the past - but it's the here and now
and the future that matters. One thing is obvious. The land
must be shared. People must be treated equally. Israel must
change or it will destroy itself.

And if pointing that out makes people "nasty" according to
some. Then what does that say about them when being rational
and caring is "nasty?"

As Louise Adler tells us - we should all care.
It is part of our shared humanity.

Dear Ttbn,

«The JCA would probably appeal to Yuyutsu, who often criticises Netanyahu, the man trying to protect his family in Israel - and doing a good job of it.»

My family is being protected by the IDF: whatever the IDF achieves, is DESPITE Netanyahu, the man who constantly undermines the IDF, not because of him.

Netanyahu had the duty of being watchful and guarding Israel's Gazan border against surprise-attacks like October 7th. In the days preceding that monstrous attack he instead was only watchful of his arch-enemy: Israel's supreme court.

Netanyahu keeps picking fights with his defence minister, Yoav Gallant, in order to weaken the IDF.

Netanyahu was the one who financed Hamas for years, sending them suitcases full of cash that were used to buy rockets and other lethal weapons and build their underground empire: $30M (USD) every month through Qatar alone.

Netanyahu needed a war to save his skin, and a long one at that.
In the early hours of October 7th, 2023, just about an hour after the Hamas attack, before the extent of the attack, casualties and hostages were even known, Netanyahu already declared that "this is not a military operation - this is a war" and that the war will last "just over a year". How did he know?

I have no incriminating proof, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if it is revealed that Netanyahu designed the 7th of October attack together with his friend Sinwar as subcontractor, while on his part actively diverting the IDF towards Israel's northern front in order to facilitate this attack: the biggest traitor in history, at least since Judas Iscariot.

I was just discussing this with my family in Israel, asking when the war will end and we seem to agree:
The war will end when, and only when, Israel's president uses his legal power to pardon Netanyahu of his bribe and corruption charges. Only by knowing that he will not go to prison, will Netanyahu allow the war to end and the land to start its long road to recovery.

I don't think Netanyahu is helping save Yuyutsus family from danger.
I think everything he's done since a year ago has made things worse.
Even now everything he does is making things worse.

The number of Jews worldwide stands at approximately 15.7 million. The number of Jews in Israel is 7,200,000. About 8.5 million live outside Israel, with approximately 6.3 million of them living in the United States.

The next 10 countries are as follows :

France: 440,000
Canada: 398,000
United Kingdom: 312,000
Argentina: 171,000
Russia: 132,000
Germany: 125,000
Australia: 117,200
Brazil: 90,000
South Africa: 50,000
Hungary: 46,000

About 27,000 Jews live in Arab and Muslim countries, of which 14,200 live in Turkey, 9,100 in Iran, 2,100 in Morocco, 1,000 in Tunisia, and 500 in the Emirates.

According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics, as of December 2023, the population of Israel was 9,842,000 of whom :

• 73.2% (about 7,208,000 people) are Jews, including about 503,000 living outside the self-defined borders of the State of Israel in the West Bank

• 21.1% (around 2,080,000 people) are Israeli citizens classified as Arab, some identifying as Palestinian, and including Druze, Circassians, all other Muslims, Christian Arabs, Armenians (which Israel considers "Arab")

• An additional 5.7% (roughly 554,000 people) are classified as "others".

However, the CBS statistics exclude persons (Palestinian/Arab/other residents) who are not registered and/or entered illegally, and foreign workers.

The total effective population of Israel in December 2023 was probably closer to 10 million.

Is criticism of Israel and Zionism antisemitism ?

.

The Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism, though not beyond criticism – is anything ? – appears to offer the best response to that question to date.

The Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism (JDA) is a document meant to outline the bounds of antisemitic speech and conduct, particularly as regards Zionism, Israel and Palestine.

It was conceived and motivated by a desire to confront antisemitism and by objections to the IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance) definition of antisemitism, which critics have said stifles legitimate criticism of the Israeli government and curbs free speech.

The drafting of the JDA declaration was initiated in June 2020 under the auspices of the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem by eight coordinators, most of whom were university professors.

On completion, the declaration was signed by about 200 scholars in various fields and released in March 2021.

Here it is :
