Re comment from Bazz above to the effect that they way to settle things properly would be to run the election again. Remember Trump has full Presidential powers until 20th January. I saw a claim somewhere that if all other attempts to overturn results of this stolen election fail, it is technically possible for him to declare martial law and order the US military to conduct another election. Most likely there would not be much opposition to such a proposal except from cheats deprived of their ill gotten gains. Note Trump has just replaced some senior officials and advisors in the Pentagon with people who seem to be more sympathetic to his views. Including not so inclined to obstruct his attempts to bring more troops home.

Frightening thoughts there Mox. The right wing militias have already
being threatening an armed refusal to accept Biden if the courts do
not consider the complaints.
Ultimately it seems inevitable it will go to their Supreme Court.
The time needed to really study this problem thoroughly would need at
least a year. So could the court suspend the constitution while it
considered the matter.

Hey, there's a thought, the Queen could step in and say her subjects

I offer just 2 modifications to your well thought out suspension of the US Constitution with one year rule by the Queen.

1. Prince Harry and his American member of the royal family wife, Meghan, could of course rule the US on behalf of the Queen. Both already live in the US saving the cost of 2 plane tickets already.

2. Their title, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, should be altered to the Duke and Duchess of Sex.

That way they could earn money on the side as an Adult movie shag tag team.

The scary thing is, I know you are joking, but the other two are dead serious. If Trump is not declared president how many armed wackos are there in America who would be prepared to "see justice done" on their terms. Trump by his unsubstantiated claims is fuelling the fire. Of course if armed insurrection was to break out Trump would stand back and as per usual take no reasonability. The more likely outcome is crazy far right nutters taking pot shots at the ever growing list of people they perceive as doing Trump wrong, election officials, court people and politicians and party members from both sides. Okay, Biden will have top notch security, making him a very hard target, but what about minor people and their families in the states and counties, soft targets!

When Biden does become President, he should remove Trump from the list of former presidents who receive daily briefings, he would be too much of a security risk.

Think about, that election is under a cloud of suspicion.
It can never be rehabilitated without an enquirey with powers like
those of a Royal Commission.
Then they need to establish an entirely new organisation to run all
their elections. That will be a monumental task as it would need
major constitutional reform.
If they do not do it then this current situation is the new normal.
