Just an addition thought, an election officer could insert a hundred
or so ballots into the scanner upside down, they would all be rejected
and would be in the computer for adjudication as they call it.
All could be set as a vote for Biden or Trump.
Probably other tricks that the operators would be well aware of.

As for the perhaps this or that nonsense, anything is possible. In the case of the American election all the non-partisan independent analysis of the 150 million vote is it was carried out fairly and the result was legitimate. Trump can jump up and down all he likes but at the end of the day he LOST fair and square.

it would be easy to fake the results.
It does require the active intervention of the operator.
It has a facility to do a 3 to 2 adjustment to what it reads.
That is a documented feature apparently.
Knowing this it relies on very close scrutiny by the appointed
scrutineers from the parties.
As they were held at a distance and then sent home while some stayed
behind and counted ballots, you can perhaps, if you let your bias go,
find room to admit there is doubt !

I am saying on the face of reports on the system and videos there COULD have been a fiddle.
I have no way of saying there was or wasn't.
