Take a Palestinian infant and bring him up in a Jewish household and you get a Jewish consciousness. Take a Jewish infant and raise him as a Palestinian and you get a child then adult with a Palestinian consciousness. So we can discount the type casting that bigots and racist believe comes from the genes. That is how I regard supposed inherent differences between peoples and religions. People man the barricades on both sides of the fence....not ideology race or religion.

Zionists are not Jews because Zionism was formed on atheist principals. In a nutshell, the Torah forbids Jews to end the exile that god inflicted upon them...they must stay captive to the world’s nations and not establish a state and army until god steps in to save Israel. Forming a Jewish nation is forbidden even if the state is conducted according to the law of the Torah because arising from gods exile is forbidden, as explained in the book of Vayoel Moshe. Zionists do not believe any of that, their character is based purely on a materialistic world.

But the right to free speech is paramount, the Zionists have stifled it by controlling media in the first world...but how do you mobilize against Zionists without the Semitic hatred that runs with it. Education.....the Orthodox Jews aided by goyims with half a brain should campaign against the Zionists who bring disrepute and hatred to the Jewish religion and ancestry. My reply was was just slightly grumpy.

"My point was that anti-Zionists can indeed be anti-Semitic,"--- yes, of course, however accusations of "anti-Semitism" are all too often attempts at intimidating critics of Israel. Singer is attempting to divert attention by the use of ad hominem attacks and make the issue the critic, not Zionism, which is indefensible ethically, just more sophistry.

"I can sympathise with the insuperable burden forced on Jews,"-- so can I, but that sentiment does not, and could never justify presenting the Palestinians with the bill for 2000 years of European anti-Semitism. Why did that atrocity occur? Because, like the indigenous people of the Americas and Australia, they didn't matter, the problem was "solved" and that was in the middle of the 20th century, not 1492 or 1788.

What I find most fascinating about this issue is that, it is not the far-right nationalists doing most of the slandering, as was the case previously, it is actually the "progressive" left. As a previous poster has already noted, the only reason the "progressives" take the side of Palestine is because they perceive them as victims and Israel as an oppressor.

The "progressives" are very easily defeated in an argument. So, there's no real need to fight for censorship or the ban of anonymity. "Progressives" are highly emotional creatures and it is usually only by accident that they will make a rational point. So I see no reason for over the top measures, Mr Singer.

I will also add that Western civilisation receives criticism everyday. It is deeply embedded in university criteria. In fact, "intellectualism" is now almost entirely conceived of as lambasting whites and their culture. "Critical thinking" is now almost synonymous with being anti-Western. I don't think censoring "progressives" is the answer, though. They simply need to be countered. Hardly any of their arguments stand up to rational scrutiny. All that is needed is that conservatives, capitalists, and liberals counter them at every opportunity.
