Anonymous Jew-hating cowards of the Internet : Comments
By David Singer, published 7/11/2013The propensity of the Internet to become an uncontrolled vehicle for racial incitement has been allowed to escape under the radar. It is time that its capacity to so influence the minds of its readers was diminished.

"What we really need on this site are Jewish voices," says Jay. I beg to differ.
What we really need on this forum to correct the glaring imbalance in the OLO agenda are Palestinian voices. What we need are the voices of those who daily suffer under the Israeli occupation, who suffer daily Israeli genocide and racism and imperialism. We need to hear the voices of Palestinian men, women and children who have never known freedom. Never! What is entirely missing is balance. We only get Singer's warped version of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, take it or leave it. Why is that, Graham? Posted by David G, Sunday, 10 November 2013 6:36:37 PM

We have plenty of articles from people who don't share David Singer's views David G. David sends articles in, so I publish them. I'm not going to refuse to publish him to satisfy your odd ideas of balance.

Well said...and it's why I usually avoid Mr Singer's article threads. I decided to have a peek at this one. Interesting.... Posted by Poirot, Sunday, 10 November 2013 7:33:41 PM

Graham It would appear to me that Singers post is designed to silence criticism of Israel as per the the following.

It's hardly silencing criticism of Israel when it is written for a publication that has published some of the comments he complains about. David knows my position on moderation, and he wants to have an argument about it, which I have been happy to facilitate. We're that sort of a publication, and David knows that.

Graham, everything should be open for discussion and everyone should be required to submit their ideas to scrutiny, anonymity also allows people to be wrong, to learn and to correct their views without repercussions or fear of ostracism.
David Singer, once again, how is Anti Semitism "our problem"?
As Tomislav Sunic noted in the article I linked the narrative of collective suffering is a powerful tool in the hands of those seeking power but a lot of this "Anti Semitism" is really young Europeans (and others) asking "Did we not suffer?".
The Holocaust, whether you like it or not is one of the most important and influential sagas of the post 1945 Western mythology. It's seen by many dissidents on all sides as the corethe myth of the remaking of the world by the victors and since not everyone approves of the way that world has developed so it's natural for people seeking to topple that social order to attack it's foundations.
What we really need on this site are Jewish voices who don't follow the ADL/AIPAC script, I suspect the levels of intolerance would subside once people see that whatever their own world view there are Jews who they can relate to and others with whom they will strongly disagree and that this idea that Jews always act as a bloc is nonsense.
