Issy, slings and arrows from you with; "reading the untruthful posts of the forum’s leading liar would have the uninformed, such as yourself, believing otherwise." Without name I know you are referring to me, as I've been your chief antagonist here for over ten years on matters of guns. I may colour my posts for entertainment purposes but I never lie. You will say; "I (Is Mise) am all in favour of the current gun laws" then post that you favour gun ownership for self protection, which is not permissible under Australian law as it stands. Therefore you would argue for a change in Australian gun laws to allow same. So how are you supporting existing gun laws?

I often ask you to comment on American mass shootings, you never do, rather you will attack me for picking on America, calling me "Goebbels". I will say your Shooters and Hooters Party favour arming five year old. That is extreme but NSW Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party policy reads;

5 Establish family and home protection as a genuine reason to own and use a firearm and continue to support measures increasing a person’s right to self-defence.

Such a policy as it reads imposes no age restrictions, no competency limits. Under such a policy I could say; "My five year old needs to own a gun as part of our "family and home protection" requirements." Okay you will say that is ridiculous, but I will say I don't trust your "gun nut" party of extremists. I'm not lying at all.

I recall my first wife's grandmother, telling me how as a young girl she lived under Nazi occupation in Austria, and with the anti Jewish laws, that no one believed the Nazi wouldn't really do anything to harm people, but they did on a mass scale. That's what extremist will do.

BTW, your party was comprehensively thrashed in yesterdays Victorian State Election, as were that bunch of so called "independents" you tried to sneak in under false pretences. On the other hand, the GREENS did extremely well.

It's an article DISGUSTED with gun ownership and analysing how an unintended consequence of John Howards anti-gun legislation might be that gun owners are driven into a gun worshipping frenzy by hanging out in gun-loving echo-chambers.

Try to read in Context. It's a thing.

Read where I said that neither argument holds water, i.e. more guns doesn’t mean more crime and neither does it mean less crime.

I rather think that my level of English shews that I did, then I went on, as a mature age student, to get an Arts Degree and then, for something to occupy my time, an Engineering Degree.

Hi Is Mise - I'm surprised that you claim you have an engineering degree - which I wish I had - but then sneer at peer-reviewed engineering papers showing how expensive tidal stream energy really is. Colour me sceptical, but I doubt with your attitude that you're practicing as an engineer.

You do indeed do have comprehension problems, where did I sneer at your figures?
I have never practiced as an engineer, as I said I only did it for something to keep me occupied.
I’m getting on in years, at yesterday’s pistol shoot I only managed to score higher than 75% of the younger competitors, they were all younger as I’m 88, about 90 men and women competing, five of whom have just got their pIstol licence.

Could you get one?
Or are you not to be trusted?
