Seriously though whilst I do think many farmers have a genuine need for them, and I worry that too many seem to be in the hands of adolescents lately, I am kind of glad generally that there are less guns on the streets compared to what there would be otherwise.
A lot of kids these days are completely out of control, and they know how to play the system and get off too easily.

Dearest Issy, you are a sensitive soul. sometimes rather petulant as well, that's how people can be. I will continue to communicate with you in salutary terms as I have done so for many a year on the Forum. If you choose to be taciturn with me, then that's what it is.

The truth is sometimes uncomfortable, what I have written was well documented at the time. John Edwards did attend the SSAA owned and operated St Mary's Indoor Shooting Centre, where he received training in the use of hand guns. Edwards after obtaining a gun licence was able to purchase a hand gun and ammunition through the Centre. Subsequently Edwards used that pistol to murder his two children Jack and Jennifer Edwards. At not time have I said any SSAA member was knowingly complicit in the children's murders, in fact they were found to be legally non-complicit. What I assert is these people were morally complicit, but as far as I am aware have never apologised for what took place, never a word of public sorrow from them, or any statement of regret from the SSAA. That's all I have said.

BTW, if you publish a false statement its LIBEL....SLANDER is to speak falsely about another. Get it right.

You are reading me wrong, when I say the St Mary's mob, "trained and them armed (Edwards)", that's not a disputed fact. Then to say Edwards was "mentally deranged", his subsequent actions show that to be self evident. The training and arming enabled Edwards to carry out his atrocious crime. I'm not saying that any of your mob knowingly or purposely acted to facilitate Edwards crime, but inadvertently they did facilitate his crime. I believe they made a mistake of judgement after Edwards had been A holed by several other gun clubs, obviously with the same purpose in mind. What I believe the SSAA should have done afterwards is put out a statement of regret, those involved were legally in the right, but morally in the wrong, in my opinion. You see it differently.

BTW, you have no problem attacking the GREENS with accusations that our gun policy is in some way purposely designed to benefit criminals, not true. You have claimed that on many occasions, have you not? Do I get on my high horse and do a dummy spit at you, NO!
