Is China really a threat to Australia or are the Greens?

The Greens probably represent the remnants of the sense of conscience and social fairness once touted by the Labor Party and although they get double the primary votes of the Nationals they cannot implement any policies - yet the coalition itself is an example of the tail wagging the dog argument they are making.

The so-called and hypothetical Labor/Green alliance is Liberal scare-mongering like their war against Independents, who would likely hold the balance of power in the case of a hung Parliament.

Gillard managed to govern and pass more legislation in a hung Parliament than during all subsequent governments so it can be done.

Yuyutsu

Your beautifully kept garden of honesty has been trampled by a herd of evil Elephants Yuyutsu. I think your not genuine in supporting the principle of not voting as a protest.

First and foremost (as the saying goes), your confused with the Political issues.
This one for a start: “Greens Say “China No Threat To Australia“.
At the moment, I think they have some hold on reality.

The Chinese have already achieved their immediate aims in Australia.
“Those with the most to lose have the most to fear” Yuyutsu.
Firstly those with the most to fear are the greedy capitalists who with the @ble assistance of their “movers”, set up China as a manufacturing giant by “moving” wholesale, the ability of the West to manufacture anything much of worth.
Now they are stuck with the consequences.

Quite frankly, I consider that point, a fact more amusing than it is as a need to fear.
China has already got the lot, free of charge.
The facilitators of that little bit of madness, are the crowd you want to pick and choose from to support with your vote…very silly Yuyutsu, and not very honest!

And speaking of madness, the policemen of the world, (Our own fond Uncle), has destroyed Gods plan for salvation, again with total dishonesty and with a little bit of help from the devil disguised as the Democrats, by illegally dispensing with Donald Trump, and installing a child from a nursing home in his place, who in turn is under the control of a six foot tall white Easter Bunny!

China doesn’t have the slightest need to fight anybody for world domination, it already has it!
And since our disconnected Uncle has forced a fraternal bond between Russia and China even tighter, with a convenient little war in Ukraine, chances of any control over China on the world stage are now even slimmer.

Follow my lead Yuyutsu, when we can find a way to vote with a bullet, then and only then will I vote willingly!

Dan.

Hi rache,

"cannot implement any policies" I once put that question to a Greens MP in NSW. He said there is more than one way to get things done. By agitation of an issue, what is radical today can be made mainstream tomorrow. Most topical type legislation is not thought up by the Government of the day, but is the end result often of years of putting that issue out there for debate, airing opinions etc.

The Greens were the first mainstream party to support gay marriage, a reduction in CO2, and there are many more examples. At first these issues are labeled "radical", but over time with debate, and good reasoning, they become accepted. The other function of the Greens is to give voice to those who don't have a say in the normal course of events. We have enough representation to make a difference. The Coalition has never spontaneously initiated social reform, in fact they try their best to sabotage it. Labor, disappointedly is no longer the party of reform, but likes to play one upmanship with the Coalition. There are too many political eyes on the ballot box, and not enough on people. What is good to see, there are still some people in both the Liberal and Labor parties with a social conscience.

ps. Just like he tried to bury Gay Marriage, Morrison would like to Bury a Federal ICAC, Labor was half hearted at first, but for political reasons they are now onboard. This was brought about by agitation from Independents and the Greens. Imagine back in the day, if you had put the need for a Federal ICAC to 'Pig Iron' Bob, you would have been branded a Communist and locked up for 20 year. Like Morrison, 'Pig Iron' Bob was no great reformists. Can anyone tell me of any Social Reform that the conservative side of political didn't ridicule, but supported from the word go.

A little bit of history; When Jack Lang introduced a modest child endowment of 5/- a week in NSW, the Conservatives opposed it on the grounds it would make women "tainted women", seems it was better they starve than be tainted. Later the Menzies government was forced to introduce child endowment nationally.

God Bless you, Dan:

«when we can find a way to vote with a bullet, then and only then will I vote willingly!»

Is that what Jesus would have done?

«The Chinese have already achieved their immediate aims in Australia.»

I would like to think that it is still reversible.

And it is worth investigating whether this or that party, if elected, is more likely to reverse this trend.

«And speaking of madness, the policemen of the world, (Our own fond Uncle), has destroyed Gods plan for salvation»

So you consider God such a weakling?

I tell you, with God's help even China cannot lift a finger. Let us pray!

"The Greens were the first mainstream party to support gay marriage, a reduction in CO2".

Don't we know it! Anything to drag down morals and ruin the country economically. The Greens are not mainstream; they are 10% weirdos, sticking to Labor like limpets as their only chance of being noticed.
