Yuyutsu,
If you believe an individual should own nothing or hoard nothing but share equally the wealth created by society and that be distributed by the Government - Vote Green.
If you believe the Government should determine what we should believe - Vote Green
If you believe a family consists of two Dads or two Mums or a tranmum or transdad and children are born by suggoracy mums - Vote Green
If you believe trans women can compete in Womens sport at the the top level - Vote Green.
If you believe all religion should be abolished - Vote Green.

Otherwise look for a Candadate in your area that best believes the values as yourself.

Yuyutsu, here are my thoughts why China is a threat.
Previously known as the Central Kingdom it had the belief that
it was the superior and controlling country in the world.
Come forward three thousand years plus and the present Emperor
Xi Jing Ping has reinforced that belief in his statement that
only China is a sovereign country and so the USA is not a sovereign country.
It then follows that all other countries are Vassal states to China.

Now that sounds a bit estoric, except notice;
The way China just moved in and took over Tibet.
The way it generates border lines disputes with India.
The way China forced Vietnam to remove its survey ships from
Vietnamese waters because it wished to search for oil & gas in
Vietnamese waters.
It simply took over islets and reefs in Phillipine waters to build them
up as military bases and now orders other aircraft and ships to
leave the area or take responsibility for the consequences.
It sent hundreds of fishing boats into Phillipine Bays to totally
occupy them for many weeks.
It harassed Indonesian fishermen in Indonesian waters forcing them away
from their fishing grounds. The Indonesian Navy got involved.
It shines lasers in the eyes of foreign aircraft crews.
That includes the Australian Air Force plane in Austalian waters.
It has had previous armed clashes with Russia.
All around itself and now these days further afield.

No doubt there are other incidents, but I get the msg, do you ?

Yuyutsu wants the Green's useful idiot to "provide more specific details about the Greens' China/defense policies beyond merely stating that Ttbn's claims are "unsubstantiated" and leaving it there."

He can't do that, Yuyutsu. He is a wind up doll spouting old dogma that he was programmed for prior to the latest Adam Bandt extremism. He is not up with it. Someone who harps on a defunct political party (Australian Conservatives) and a politician who retired 3 years ago (Cory Bernadi) simply cannot keep up with current events.

Josephus,

You could also have added, 'vote Labor and you will get Greens'. Hard left Albo will go along with them; he has already shown that border protection will collapse; he is cowed by the three mean girls - he actually defended them; he would get on famously with the Green extremists.

Any Labor Government would be a Virtual Green Government.

I watched the media conference of the Opposition
leader this morning. He came across very strongly.
And he raised some very valid points.

There is going to be a head-to-head debate between
him and the PM tonight on Sky News which should be
worth watching.

It should be an interesting evening.

Hi again Yuyutsu

It is rather disingenuous to say "Ttbn's claims are "unsubstantiated" and leaving it there." That's not what I said..... "When I say "unsubstantiated", I mean unsubstantiated to me." Posted by Paul1405, Tuesday, 19 April 2022 7:00:05 AM

ttbn made a claim in his opening post attributing something to Greens Senator Jordan Steele-John. I find ttbn generally has a strong biased against the Greens, and if he posts something about the party it will only be negative comment. Having said that I didn't come across anything on the subject attributable to Steel-John, as I said its unsustained to me. ttbn may have a whole lot of links and quotes he could put up on the subject, but he chose not to.

On taxation; Greens policy is to tax the big end of town and the multi-nations who plunder this country and do not pay their fair share of tax, in some instances nothing at all. Individuals with incomes of hundreds of thousands or millions pa, do not need billion dollar tax cuts, most stash large amounts of income in trusts etc and avoid tax. There is no need to increase taxes on low and middle income earners 95% of taxpayers. Do as I said previously, then there would be more available to assist the battlers in society in the areas of health, education, housing, child care, employment etc.

Pauliar,

"On taxation; Greens policy is to tax the big end of town and the multi-nations who plunder this country and do not pay their fair share of tax, in some instances nothing at all."

Seriously, this has been tried before and has often failed. The top 25% of earners pay 65% of tax. Multinationals pay $bns in tax and pay good salaries to people that also pay tax. Those not paying tax are either writing tax off against depreciation or actually not making a profit for various reasons. Anyone that makes this idiotic idea a policy is either a moron or thinks that the voters are.
