Most respectfully, Dear Mr Former Vice-President Joseph Biden,
Would it be acceptable if you perhaps could try being a little more assertive in your speeches? Just a thought, as I really believe the American people and your Nation's stability and prosperity really need you to win the upcoming Presidential election. Also, do you think you might commit to only increasing the taxes of the big corporates and the 1% of top income earners - of course only being phased-in in gentle steps, and only after you have speedily restored the country and business back on-track due to your speedy and determined lifting of lock-downs and restrictions occasioned by the corona-virus? Also, as the most reliable health advice is saying that the wearing of face-masks is definitely most effective in limiting virus-spread, might you possibly be able to promise the people that if they would commit to wearing face-masks and keep reasonable social-distancing - of say perhaps two arm-lengths when eating or drinking - and could please all abstain from all intimacy for, say, three months, then you would guarantee to lift all restrictions and release all available national support funding to boost the economy and jobs immediately at the end of those three months? That would be a sure vote winner. Please take care Mr Former Vice-President, as I very much look forward to you taking firm control of the Nation's wellbeing. PS. Could you please reassure all America's allies of your commitment to having good discussions with all of them on the best way forward to global peace, security and economic prosperity for all? And also, please, don't say anything about the UK's Brexit. Boris can handle it, and he has Australia's former Prime Minister The Honourable Tony Abbott to assist him if needs be. Thank you, I wish you the very best of luck, and God Speed. Oh, and one more thing, an idea for a call to making America really great again - "Dump Trump, Dump Trump". Can't hurt, hey? (America and the free world need you, Joe. God bless you, Joe.) Posted by Saltpetre, Friday, 18 September 2020 12:22:25 PM

With respect to Google:
A guy walks into a bar and orders a schooner of beer, two pickled onions and a nip of scotch. He downs the beer, puts one pickled onion behind each ear, drinks the whisky, pays his tab, and walks out. A couple of days later the guy walks into the same bar and orders his schooner of beer, two pickled onions and a nip of scotch - but the barman says unfortunately he has run out of pickled onions, so would gherkins do? The guy says ok. Then he drinks his beer, places one gherkin behind each ear, downs the scotch, pays his tab, and goes to walk out - but the barman calls him back and asks "What's with the gherkins?" And, the guy replies "Well, you've run out of pickled onions, haven't you", and turns and walks out. Life's too short, and worry gets you nowhere. (Good luck, Joe and Kamala.) Re GrahamY's question
Google's Terms and Policies site here http://support.google.com/googlecurrents/answer/9680387?hl=en seems to spell it pretty clearly. Especially: "3. Hate Speech" "Our products are platforms for free expression, but we don’t permit hate speech. Hate speech is content that promotes or condones violence against or has the primary purpose of inciting hatred against an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or any other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization." Someone said that - Linking the unlawful deaths of 48 police officers in the US to a particular political party, without evidence, might be viewed as potentially violating Google community standards, whatever they are. But any libertarians etc on this thread, might not choose to recognise such regulations or reasons for. It all goes down to matters of degree and subjectivity. Google, being a very American outfit, may be aware of balances between rights and guns etc in highly contested political confrontations, not here so much as in the USA right now. I'm not sure what you think the link explains other than Assange's legal team doing their job....

It's also occurred to me that some of our "Aussie"
way of expressing ourselves which is part of our
lingo may seem objectionable in some countries and
especially to Americans who are not used to it.
Especially the use of abusive words.
