Yes, I think you're right, the KKK fascists were originally Democrat, 'Southern Democrat' I think they called it, but after Johnson pushed for equal rights for African-Americans, for all Americans, they flipped to the Republicans under Nixon. So nowadays, they solidly support the Republicans. That makes sense.
