Just listened to a couple of African Americans say Kamala Harris being Asian Indian does not represent them.

The "Walk Away" movement in America is gaining ground among Democratic States as the extremes of the Party no longer represent them. Local residents and Police are chasing Antifa protesters out of towns and cities.

Foxy,

From your post above it now looks like you think:

The Democrats chose Harris because her political views and ideals align closely with those of Biden.

It's just too bad I was the one who had to put it together for you instead of your buddy FOULmouth (aka LOUDmouth).

So we now have three reasons for the Democrats selecting Harris as Biden's running mate.

Can anyone think of a fourth? (FOULmouth excluded of course because of the disgusting language he uses.)

Are you that blind ?

Loudmouth2,
No, I'm not ! Nor am I blind like you not to see the corruption that are the hypocritical Progressives.
I have always maintained that when it comes to managing, a competent crook outshines an idealist do-gooder anytime !
No good saying Trump is shady when his opposition is not only shady but completely in the dark !
What you need to ask yourself is; would people rather work for a rich bloke & earn a wage or would they prefer to be out of work because they put their trust into incompetent hypocritical do-gooder bureaucrats ?
Also, not everyone is on the Public Service bandwagon, most people actually work & produce instead of just play Solitaire on the Govt computers & drink coffee !

No other candidate scored as highly with Mr Biden's
selection committee on so many of their core criteria
for choosing a running mate. What impressed Mr Biden
about Kamala Harris were the following points:

1) Her strength as a debater.

2) Her proven qualifications for governing.

3) The racial diversity she would bring to the ticket.

4) No other candidate matched the political moment better.

5) Her family link to the Biden family -
unmatched by any other
candidate. Her friendship with Joe Biden's elder son -
Beau, who died from cancer in 2015.

Foxy,

You have given us your one line reason so no need to waffle on. I have accepted the reason you presented even though I had to write it myself.

It's interesting the choice that Americans have at the
next election. We've pretty much covered the Biden
Harris team in this discussion. And we know what Trump
represents. Mike Pence is a bit of an unknown. He's been
in office for 15 years, first as a Member of Congress and
then since 2013 as Indiana's Governor. He was picked as
Trump's vice president because he was considered a safe
choice, as a long standing Republican official with close
ties both to the party establishment and grass roots.

His conservative credentials stand him in good stead with
the rich donors. Pence is an Evangelical Christian and he
was an early supporter of the Tea Party Movement.

Each President who has held the office has brought to it
a unique style. Each style reflects a President's character.

The American voters will have to decide who they will elect.
A president must somehow symbolize what American citizens
believe to be the essence of their country. The President must
represent what is valued now and in the past, but even more
importantly they must embody the direction of America's
future. They must decide which team has:

1) A strong vision for the future.
2) Crisis management skills.
3) Character and integrity.
4) Ability to work with Congress.
5) Make Wise appointments.
6) Effective communication skills.
7) The courage to make unpopular decisions.
8) An ability to put their own times in the perspective
of history.
9) Keep their promises.
10) Answer questions.

And the list goes on. From all this the choice does not
seem so complex.
