You are easily pleased.
Did you also get excited when Rudd the Dud got elected. I am only impressed by policies. Posted by Chris Lewis, Wednesday, 12 August 2020 3:31:52 PM

Dear Chris,
If you are only impressed with policies - then you should be impressed with the Biden and Harris team. They actually have policies. Not slogans. But who knows what may impress you. It's obviously not experienced highly qualified and knowledgeable people. Especially ones who are not white. We get it. You fit right in, here on the forum. Dear Hassie, Kamala Harris is not a "recent graduate" as you claim. Not by any stretch of your imagination. She was Attorney General of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2016. Highly qualified prior to that. She IS part of the solution in America. She's a hard worker and an excellent role-model. Unlike Trump supporters. And you don't have to worry about China. What Australia has to worry about is Trump's isolationist attitude (America First) if Trump gets in. Australia will be in deep sh!t. And Russia will be pulling the strings. I also hope they deliver.
I just want to hear their policies. Bring on the debates. Maybe then I will get excited. Posted by Chris Lewis, Wednesday, 12 August 2020 3:51:47 PM

Dear Chris,
I gave this link earlier, but I'll give it again - it may help you see where Joe Biden stands on issues: http://www.politico.com/2020-election/candidates-views-on-the-issues/joe-biden/ And then of course we have the real estate developer turned reality TV star, turned president - Donald Trump who's been known to switch positions on everything, making it hard to pin down where he stands on any issue at any given time. No you are not supposed to be excited because she is
multi-ethnic. Although you're allowed to be if you want.
You are supposed to be excited because the lady is highly
skilled and talented and will be able to do the job
much better than Mike Pence (Trump's vice-president) ever
could. Have you checked out that man's credentials for his
job? Or for that matter the credential of Trump - who has
not ever had any political experience of any kind. He knew how
to play gold and grab kitty cats.
Her career as California's Attorney-General and as a
Senator stands her in good stead for a political career.
Her legal career means she is well placed to prosecute
the case against Mike Pence in the vice-presidential
debate in October and against Trump's administration in
general.
She has demonstrated this skill during congressional
hearings, notably grilling the president's
highly controversial supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh
and even in debates with Biden himself.
Her career as a former prosecutor also goes a long way to
neutralizing Trump's attempted claims on Biden and the
Democrats being soft on crime.
Her background is impressive. She has spent part of her
childhood abroad. She has protested against apartheid in
South Africa - went on to obtain a Bachelors Degree, a law
degree, became a lawyer, then a senator, She has had vast
experience in how both law and politics work.
Not only that she has seen the world through eyes that no
white man can. In her memoir - "The Truths We hold: An American
Journey", Harris describes how her mother became conditioned
to discrimination at airport customs because of her accent
and skin colour. She is an experienced fighter and pursuer
of justice for all. Making her not only an excellent candidate
for the vice-presidency but for the top job as well.
She is also only 55 years of age. Her career is still in front of her.
That Chris, is why it IS exciting!
