Belly,

"We would have many more needless deaths if we ever took your path"

There you go again; what is my path?

Why won't you answer the question on why people should not be allowed non-lethal means of defence?

Why are you on the criminals' side?

I thought that you started this thread to discuss the plight of the aged who are/might be attacked.

Sorry no true, I just can not work you out, see every time you put such a just dumb question it is my view you seem childlike
Do you agree judging on only YOUR posts you are pro gun
Have you, time and again, in just this thread, called for more to be armed
Mate lets try to get along, you judge me on what I say, fair enough, let me judge you on what you say

Belly,

"Have you, time and again, in just this thread, called for more to be armed"

No, if you mean firearms, what I have called for, time and again, is for people to be allowed something for defence.

Obviously, you don't think that anyone, elderly or not, should be allowed even non-lethal means of defence.

Why are you against non-lethal means?

We differ on everything ise mise, and I pose these truths
Started this thread after a few too many assaults on the elderly or frail, by youth to about 25 year olds
Not one of the cases I had in mind was the victim capable of defending themselves not one
My mind still sees an 80 year old lady on her back on the ground, a younger feral women having ASSAULTED HER WITHOUT REASON
You seem in attack mode, wanting to deny my claims are true or tell me they could have defended themselves?
How? with what? that eighty year old had I been there and if my body would let me, think it would, would have had protection, me, such feral things as her attacker even if mentally ill should be locked up.

Belly,

Do you or do you not think that people should be allowed to defend themselves?
If you do, do you think that they should, legally, be allowed some means of defence?

It's quite simple really, do you think that the elderly and others should just take it and shut up?

Issy, you know full well a person can take reasonable steps to defend themselves under the existing law. Its misleading to say that someone can attack you, and you simply have to cop it.
//It's quite simple really, do you think that the elderly and others should just take it and shut up?// That's already covered by the existing laws.

//Do you or do you not think that people should be allowed to defend themselves?// Yes

//If you do, do you think that they should, legally, be allowed some means of defence?// Not to carry some offensive weapon 24/7 on the off chance that they might be attacked. The question is too broad so the answer is no.

Issy one for you. A kid stealing apples from your apply tree. Should it be your legal right to take your AK-47, or some such weapon, and blow the little blighter out of the branches?
