And now for something completely different:

On my travels through the BBC Radio 4 website, I unearthed a little gem entitled 'Old Harry's Game'. It's a charming little radio sitcom set in Hell, which also happens to feature some fairly deep philosophy about what the human condition and what it means to be a good person. It's vintage comedy these days, but I feel it has aged extremely well. I find it hilarious, but humour is subjective... I reckon it's worth a listen, anyway. But you'll have to get in quick, because the first episode will be taken down in two days (sorry).

The 10 Commandment Tablets Cont....

So Moses orders the killing of 3000 people.

Exodus 32:28And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.

And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

Just as an aside

Exodus 33:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

But a few verses later GOD says to Moses

Exodus 33;20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

So I guess the verse about face to face was wrong!

Exodus 33:23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Did GOD show Moses his bottom?

But back to the story

Exodus 34:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

then

Exodus 34:4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

But hang on...GOD didn't write on the second set of tables like he said he would In Exodus 34:1

Exodus 34:27-29 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

So ends the story...

Believe it or not!

When I was taught in Church they always said the tablets were written by the finger of God... They always left out the second bit...

Funny that!

PS I don't have OCD... The Bible is my area of study...Sorry about knowing what's in it better than others...I have studied correctly and you guys haven't!

Most believers haven't read it cover to cover because they stop at the begats...lmao

//The Bible is my area of study//

Yeah, and I'm Mary, Queen of Scots.

//Sorry about knowing what's in it better than others//

Yeah, you know it's all on the internet don't you? And on most people's bookshelves. I mean, unless you've got some sort of special bible (for special people), we're all privy to the same knowledge.

So anyway, how's the old Messiah complex? Not giving you any trouble, I hope?

Not now soon, to condense what I wrote. People of the past were not very educated and religion was used to control people, right through to Roman times. What I am saying is that religious followers believed what was put to them by their rulers and senior elite citizens. Even the most educated of people today are believers, so education is no key to becoming a believer. I maintain that it is a weak, simple and gullible mind that reaches for religion. So here we are 2000 years later and we still have, more than ever, a very large number of the population still believing in one religion or another. I have a problem with religion because I have absolutely nothing to convince me of any true heavenly spirit exists or ever existed. I do however know a little about people or human nature. As I said, all the scriptures were written by people, obviously they were followers. I challenge anyone to give/show/demonstrate ANY evidence of the existence of a GOD. Keep in mind that if there were a GOD, IT would not be in a solid form but gaseous or vapour. I'm really reaching here. Anyway, in closing, that is why I say yes to the question.
