As to my association with the Greens, it goes back to before the days of the start of Ian Cohen's political career, Ian was the last real Green conservationist to hold political power, a gentleman of the first order.

I like your statistics, Paul, you forgot to tell us that the number that you mentioned was an average taken over five years and that a breakdown of the figures shews the daily average to be 31 homicides and 56 suicides and that a further breakdown of the figures shews that only 2.2 % of homicides were non-Hispanic whites and that 29.7% were non-Hispanic blacks, one has to presume (in light of insufficient data) that the other deaths were mainly Hispanic and others.

So who is killing whom?

Other statistics from that site shew that the homicide rate is declining in the US, perhaps because more Americans are now carrying concealed pistols and gun sales have gone up.

Do bring up more statistics, Paul, but don't steal Sandalplank's thunder because he'll want to tell us all about the steady decline in gun homicides in the US.
