Is Mise,

You have a gun to shoot everything! Especially people!

When Davo returns from The States he will hopefully be able to enlighten you and other members of the gun happy brigade as to the dangers you so freely embrace. Maybe that is asking too much.

JBowyer, you said "the pig is a noble and intelligent creature." Did you pen that while munching on another ham sandwich? Why do you support the cruel and barbaric treatment of pigs in captivity. Maybe you don't, but the likes of the Shooters and Hooters Party support the status quo when it comes to animal cruelty.

ROTFL!! Your funniest post yet!!

David Sandalplank had to go to Texas to find out that guns can be dangerous; maybe the taxpayers' money isn't wasted after all.

I already know guns are dangerous, Paul. I'd rather listen to the wisdom of the Righteous David Coral-Friend, Guardian of the Low Isles, He That Treads Lightly Upon the Earth, on the subject of climate change and the dangers of the pointless air travel he so freely embraces.

Do you think St. Dave of Airbus might secretly be a full-time climate change denier? Or do the Greens only adopt climate change denialism when it comes to matters of gun safety? Either way, it's not very green is it?

//Grubs, the natural kind, can be shot with "Fly" guns, the which hit the fly//

Grubs aren't flies. They're beetle larvae. Flies are flies, or maggots in the larval stage. Leave the beetles alone, Is Mise. They're more frightened of you than you are of them.

Toni,

The Fly guns actually exist,

Note that it's great for shooting flies on windows.

It can't break window glass but in Australia it's a lethal weapon.

I know. The concept of a gun firing small particles of NaCl to kill flies intrigued me, so I spent 10 minutes or so this morning google-researching it. As far as I can discern, never having held or fired one, they do what they say on the tin and are extremely cool. I want one. Flies piss me off.

Grubs do not. No reason to shoot them.

In much the same way that a Nerf gun is a lethal weapon: if you were sadistically creative enough, you could kill somebody in a variety of different methods with a Nerf gun. But it would be easier with a hammer, or even just a rock.

NaCl fly guns aren't lethal. That being said, I would think that a rapidly propelled particle of NaCl ending up in somebody's eye is going to hurt like the blazes, even if it causes no lasting damage.

So safety goggles first, people. Then load up and make those flies wish they'd never left the larval stage.

True, Toni, yet for some weird reason guns, concealable pistols and sub-machine guns capable of propelling acid and other '...hurtful and irritant liquids" are freely available to any child/adult who wants to buy one and all of them can be lethal.

What we need is evidence based laws, perhaps Sandalplank will find some in his wanderings.
