No Runner, you are nowhere near the 'average population'....or maybe only in your wildest dreams. The majority of the population support abortion rights, women's rights, same-sex marriage, gay rights and the right not to believe in imaginary gods. You are so out if the ordinary that it isn't funny.

Your bestie Abbott was the original part of the Liberals downfall, hence why a majority of his own party voted to boot him out. Who can ever forget the mad 'knighting' of a Prince Phillip of England? He was a loony toon, who is still being emulated by other loons from the far-right madmen of that party. They deserve to lose this election...

Just watched the 7:30 Report on the ABC and various politicians are saying that Hanson did so well because she is saying the things that average Australians want to hear; particularly in calling for a stop to Muslim immigration.

*How can Turnbull remain PM with 50% of AU going against him . Labor started out 21 seats down. The Libs have lost their momentum,*

Hang on, the swing was 3.7%, hardly huge, but mattered in terms of seats. Fact is that the conservative side of the liberals who are still chanting Tony Tony and voted against the liberals, egged on by Bolt and others, just shot the liberal party in the foot. Add in the Mediscare campaign, including 22 full time union staffers who for months targeted marginal seats and were scaring little old ladies, gives you 3.7%. Meantime half the Australian population are clearly happy with Turnbull. Bolt is already calling for Tony to be returned. Sounds like they need more pain to learn.

Yeah you may be right Susie. The majority of the population could of been dumbed down like you only to think in a tiny narrative. No sane person could watch a baby torn apart and allow it in the name of womens rights. No one with any medical knowledge would also promote sodomy and any one with half a brain would see that a child is much better off with a loving dad and mum. Only a dumbed down regressive could hear of a man calling on his god, naming his god, killing in the name of God and then claiming its nothing to do with that god. The only thing that puzzles me is how you could give yourself the name progressive. Oh well the power of self interest.

Yes Yabby, if Malcolm pulls it off it'll be well done.

He deposed a leader who would have led an election debacle, made hard decisions disaffecting even his own voters and put up unpopular but necessary measures as his election platform.

If he wins he won't be beholden to his right, nor to expansive debt and promises of the magnitude of Labor's.

I see all this as good, and Bolt (right), Shorten (left) calling for his head as idiots. Winning is winning. If he succeeds, and with good governance, he may well increase his party's majority at the next election.

If he wins.

PS, his Senate reforms saw no seats won by micro-parties, but deposing Abbott brought Pauline out of retirement, so folks like runner and Hasbeen have someone to lead the hard right view.

PSS Even if he wins by only one seat, I expect him to pursue union thuggery that's costing us all.
