Firstly, I congratulate Pauline for winning her Senate seat. Her courage and persistence has paid off and there is no doubt she will act in Australia's best interests as she has always done.

Now she might even be able to put immigration back on the political agenda where it should be. Bob Hawke colluded with the Libs not to debate immigration as they were scared of the issue. No win for them.

Immigration is the big issue that both major parties will not discuss, but ordinary people do in pubs and clubs.

Well not really, Hasbeen. The swing against the liberals has been around 3.7%, so a tiny fraction of the population.

Included in that, is the conservative old farts, who think that Tony should be in Govt, so put in their protest vote.

Included in that is the little old ladies who were conned by the Mediscare fraud campaign. If any company made those kinds of fraudulent claims about their products, they would most likely be dragged before the courts. Clearly integrity is a meaningless term to the Labor party.

Sadly the implications of such a small number of voters are much larger, so now we are back to unstable Govt and little gets done.

I think the Conservative old farts have just shot themselves in the proverbial foot and if they dream that Tony leading the libs will get public support, they are going to need alot more pain to wake up to reality.

Perhaps Pauline might find a way to bring the liars and subverters of the justice system to boot for the shabby jailing that she endured whilst being innocent of any wrong doing.

Maybe she doesn't hold a grudge.
