Parrot and Paul,

Once again the rampant hypocrisy!

Donations for access to decision makers has been a consistent feature of every single state or federal government in living memory, especially Labor governments. I would stake my life on this still going for Shorten and Bowen to some extent.

Poirot,

LNP corruption in Queensland under 'Hard Boiled' Newman, a bit of deja vu. Reminds me of the days of Old Joh and the corrupt Queensland Nationals with the 'Minister for Everything' Russ Hinze, one of the most corrupt politicians Australia has ever seen, right up there with the Liberal Robin (Run Over The Bastards) Askin in NSW. Eddie Obeid would hardly rate alongside those two scoundrels.

SM,

I don't care who's doing it - it should be exposed and halted.

(you're calling us hypocrites - LOL!)

Abbott once tweeted:

"ICAC - This is Labor"

Turns out the pong is just as breathtaking from the LNP.

Parrot,

Are you really trying to equate the tens of millions of dollars of money corruptly gained by Obied, Macdonald, and other Labor MPs to the $3000 bottle of wine by BOF and the manipulation of donations law by others (which would hot have been illegal a few years ago)? Puleez!

Access to financial decision makers is important to the large players in business to understand what decisions are being made that effect them and to give feed back. The alternative is for the government to isolate themselves. This is not corruption.

What is corruption is the unions extorting funds from companies by means of threats.

Shadow Minister, because the side you hate is doing it, doesn't therefore excuse *YOUR* side who also do it. Get a grip and stop trying to be so politically correct. BOTH sides are wrong and corrupt.

Shadow Monster,

Well, LOL! to the max.

You are a doozy, aren't you?

Have you ever delved into the meaning of the word "principle".

When the other side is found corrupt, you're out there all guns blazing...but...but when your side is starting to emit a like effluvia, then off you go banging on about degrees.

O'Farrell didn't resign because of a $3,000 bottle of wine.

He resigned because it was obvious that he lied to ICAC.

He most vehemently denied having received the wine both to ICAC, and then "stupidly" compounded his lie by denying it even more forcefully to the waiting media.

"Access to financial decision makers is important to the large players in business to understand what decisions are being made that effect them and to give feed back. The alternative is for the government to isolate themselves. This is not corruption."

So you are telling me that this "access" has to be charged for?

That access at a price is "not" corruption?

Puhleeze!
