Good afternoon to you CRACKCUP...

I too share your concern, but for ALL our futures ? I'm probably within the same demographic as you and your wife. There are quite a few contributors to this Forum I suspect, who are in a similar position to both of you ?

My only advice, and I say this as a form of comfort and reassurance for you both; my old mate HASBEEN is pretty close to the mark I reckon. There's no doubt that Joe Hockey is delivering a 'mean' budget ? That said, I don't believe he or the LNP will do anything that will harm the aged pensioners in our community.

There will be increases in costs, there always are. But generally speaking the Treasurer will be mindful of the tremendous backlash that he and his party would receive from the electorate at large, should he adversely hit those who are the most economically vulnerable, and others who are in real fiscal peril.

I too share the absolute contempt, you harbour towards politicians ! I've uttered this before, and now once more. Any politician, whether Federal, State or Local government who breaks his/her oath of office, should receive mandatory penal servitude, for many years !

It is a fact in China, any politician found guilty of any major corrupt conduct, is shot. I'd gladly supply a round or two for the likes of Messrs Thompson and Williamson ex. of the Health Services Union. I cannot contain my absolute loathing for these two pieces of excrement.

You mob are all missing the point. You go into a great deal of detail about the symptoms and ignore the cause. I notice that imaginary friend god was thrown into the mix.

There is certain amount of truth when the “occupy movement” state’s “we are the 99%”.

To resolve the issue you must follow the MONEY and only the money. Everything is ancillary and incidental.

Crackcup is worried that his pension will be cut in the name of austerity despite the contradictory spending. A valid fear I concede!

The solution is simple; Productive wealth must be shared proportionally, were the creators of wealth receive more than the takers of wealth.

The 90% (I would not go as far as 99%) would be better off, and the top 10% would get a lot less but a sufficient share.

Change this and only this and you change everything, even god.

Crackcup’s pension would be secure!

The job description for MP or Senator is that they are to be engaged by the people of a particular district to represent their interests to the state and it's bureaucracy. How has it come to pass that the elected representatives are aligned with the state and acting in it's interests ahead of those of their constituents?

Hit post too soon.
The social contract is between the state and the people, NOT between politicians and the people. We surrender to the state a monopoly on the use of force and agree to limits on certain other freedoms in exchange for provision of services such as hospitals, roads, an army etc etc
We surrender nothing to politicians, they're supposed to work for us, the idea of national political parties following a set platform and applying it to all electorates is completely at odds with democracy.

Dear Jay,

<<The social contract is between the state and the people,>>

Excuse me, what contract? I haven't signed any!

<<We surrender to the state a monopoly...>>

Is that so? I never surrendered, they just take what they like by force, as they did for the last millennia without asking mine or your permission.

<<>.For example, if we gaze on the Lapis Lazuli-orb of Gabriel, the Divine Messenger, a sacred oracle opens through the lineage of the wisdom traditions, and as though from God’s voice itself. This oracle moves us through the sands of time, to a far distant memory of the Atla Priests of Atlantis, through to the Ancient Egyptian Gods, then on to the Greek and Roman Gods and Goddesses. After a period of darkness, the line once more reappears through the light of Carl Jung’s extraordinary work, through the aspects of the 12 Archetypes he brought to our attention.

You will also see against the orb, a sacred sigil that contains, in geometric form, the essence of the Angel’s heart. Sigils are ancient mystical symbols that hold the force of an entity. In the second oracle the ANGEL HEART SIGULS, the Angels of Atlantis have given us powerful teaching about the heart as the seat of the soul.>>..
