Here we go again Producer. Tasmania in particular, & NZ to a large extent are basket cases, probably due largely to their electoral system. Tasmania would have sunk long ago, if it had not been bleeding mainland states for half a century.

New Zealand would also have sunk many years back, if it had not been able to export a huge percentage of it's excess & unemployable at home, population to Oz. This has done more than a little damage to our health, welfare & employment situation.

When you can avoid the results of your lousy management by exporting much of it, [or just bludging on the rest], you can get away with lousy impractical government. If Tasmania had to pay it's own way, it would could only afford a third world standard. If NZ had to support all the population it has breed in the last 50 years, it would not be much better.

Crackcup the reason for our fall comes to just a few problems. Immigration, multiculturalism, & the huge growth of our main cities. These have made our main cities suffer a big loss when it comes to livability, & there is no sign they can climb out of the mess they are in.

Hasbeen,
Ill-informed comment about Kiwi's in Australia. The facts are their rate of unemployment is lower than the national average for Australia and their participation rate is higher than the national average. Kiwi's in Australia have a much lower rate of unemployment that is the case back in NZ. Kiwi's coming to Australia tend to be more skilled than average, a fact not lost on their PM John Key when complaining about a skills drain from NZ to Australia. Kiwi's coming to OZ also have much higher capital reserves than the average migrant, spend a lot less time unemployed than the average and require far less government assistance than the majority of migrants. All in all, if Australia wanted migrants, Kiwi's purely from an economic point of view would be about the top choice.

Well said Paul1405 – Although the old Hasbeen does have a point when he says:

“The reason for our fall comes to just a few problems. Immigration, multiculturalism, & the huge growth of our main cities”

Before this all happened there were full employment and no debt. Real estate values where stable and there was no global warming. Mind you communism was rife but there were no filthy rich. Maybe we should go back to a pre Captain Cook model?

I did notice that he did not refer to Germany nor did he comment on their proportional system which was the basis of my comments or offer an alternative.

I notice Hasbeen and others will not get out of their comfort zone, are quick to criticize, comment without balance, no suggestions of a better way and just fall into line. Then there are the political and religious toadies. Sad really!

This anonymous forum allows someone to explore a concept free of the constrains of an individual’s real world.

Producer: "This anonymous Forum allows someone to explore a concept free of the constraints af an individual`s real world"

I trust that you are aware that ALL messages/communications that flow over the Internet are channelled through the US Echelon Surveillance System?

Bill Gates had to allow the NSI to have an access key to Microsoft Computers worldwide, in order to be allowed to establish his Microsoft empire,....this was reasonably common knowledge in the earlier days of the Internet.

Never assume that anything that you may send or receive across the Internet is "Anonymous"! It may appear anonymous to fellow recipients however the ever-seeing eye of Uncle Sam is always vetting your messaging by using the Echelon computers to "look" for certain keywords etc.

Unfortunately this type of surveillance is now coming closer to home, with local survellance systems now coming into play here, under the guise of "monitoring the accessing of Ponography/Pedaphelia sites"
The Internet Service Providers have to allow access to the "authorities" or face closure!

Crackcup – What are you saying?

Should we not communicate because big brother might hear?

Should we not talk for fear of being overheard?

Should we only utter words that are acceptable to those who have authority?

Perhaps you should not have started this thread as you may be persecuted?

Tell me what we should and should not say on this forum?

We better whisper or we might get a BTT from OTB
