Ummmm, so who is that exactly, God's Messenger?

>>One person in Australia can make the decision to go to war.
One person.<<

Please, let it not be Andrew Bolt...

If you do your homework you will find its our
Prime Minister.

Even a democracy can elect a stupid leader.

Something that we have just experienced.

You are only right in theory, Gods Messenger.

>>If you do your homework you will find its our Prime Minister<<

But a Prime Minister who commits the country to war without the support of Cabinet will not last out the day - there will be a spill that same afternoon, and a new Prime Minister will advise the Governor General accordingly.

So, Cabinet must be part of the decision, out here in the real world.

Well, sort of. The nominal head of our armed services is the Governor General but they don't wield any real power. The heads of staff of the three separate forces are answerable to the Minister of Defence. In theory a defence Minister could go behind their parliamentary leader's back and instruct them contrary to the wishes of the PM. They'd be demoted to the back benches or booted out completely if they tried it but it is possible in theory.

But as Pericles so astutely pointed out a Cabinet so divided on the issue of war will be a very short-lived Cabinet. Politicians are ultimately answerable to the people and they know it.

Cheers,

Tony

yet another very FUNNY JOKER..KILL PROTESTERS*

Future Sheriff Says Protesters Should be Exterminated in “Gas Chambers”
http://www.infowars.com/future-sheriff-says-protesters-should-be-exterminated-in-gas-chambers/

A trainee Sheriff posted a threatening Facebook message aimed at Cop Block, an organization which advocates filming police officers, in which the soon to be cop said that protesters should be exterminated in “gas chambers” and that he would beat them up “just for the sheer joy of it.”

"While its rare that we receive direct death treats, they must be taken seriously, especially when they come from someone with military training and is about to become a Law enforcement agent / Sheriff," states a post on the official CopBlock Facebook page.

The threats were made by Darren Redding, a former U.S. Marine and a current cadet in training with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department. His Facebook page, which is currently being deluged with angry responses, can be seen here.
