otb,

I do not think that it is ok to pay migrant workers
less. But apparently large Health-Care Organisations
like Blue-Cross do.

And what makes you think that I don't see any problems
with what these organisations are doing?

Actually Is Mise has brought up an interesting point.
The Jazis tax as it is known is the reason Islamic societies are always
so undeveloped.
It causes people to "convert", or leave the country and so reduce the tax revenue.
Other social factors come into play as moslems starting out with a tax
free life feel resentment against the remaining taxpayers. Not allowing
women to work also reduces the countries productivity.
I read an article about this somewhere.
From memory it was by an economist and he believed that when peak oil
crunch comes the Arab states will collapse as the flow of money from
the oilier states dry up.
I will do a search on Resilience web site and see if I can find it.

Dear David F.,

David E. Springer, American lawyer, stated:

"At all times, vigilance is the price of liberty.
We must remain vigilant because while it might be us
today, it will be some other group down the road
20 years from now.
The measure of our society over history is our fidelity
to our principles. We must remind our government and our
people to remain faithful to those principles or otherwise
our society, like so many in the past, will be swept on the
ash heap of history."

And as historian Robert Conquest stated:

"We should not fool ourselves. The power of fanaticism and
of misunderstanding is by no means extinct."

Thank You for reminding us of the importance of our humanity.

<<I have a book called "Atrocitology" by Matthew White. It...>>

So perhaps your original post should have read:

"The Holocaust where 6,000,000 were slaughtered because they were Jews was fueled by centuries of Christian hatred. I know of nothing --AND I DON'T WANT TO KNOW OF ANYTHING -- that Islam has done that approaches the magnitude of that crime

Dear SPQR,

One way of arguing is putting words in other people's mouths. Sure I am most aware of what the atrocious things that Islam has inspired people to do. However, it is much easier to damn the other whoever the other is than to look at oneself.

The New Testament has some pertinent words to that effect:

Matthew 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

It is much easier to damn Islam than to look at oneself and what the group that one belongs to is responsible for.
