In my experience, most people who claim this haven’t even read Revelations. Could we have some examples?

The best you’ll usually get from someone is that bad stuff is happening, but if it’s “frightfully on track” then there must be something more specific that I’ve overlooked. From what I remember, though, Revelation is mostly just the ramblings of someone who appears to have been an undiagnosed schizophrenic…

With all this talk of "bowing" and "repentance" I can't help but feel some sadness for those who have squandered much of the joy in their lives in exchange for ingrained feelings of worthlessness and sinfulness, and must eagerly look forward some some global apocalyptic event in the hope it justifies their personal sacrifice and gives their life meaning.

It's not enough to be saved - all others must be seen to suffer. Nice.

Meanwhile I will be sending in my $30 to The Church of the Subgenius to reserve my seat on the Pleasure Saucers when they come to lift us up on July 5th while all the Pinks and Normals fry.

I agree with runner on this, everybody knows we came from single-cell amoeba ... at God's direction of course.
