Except for some women I believe men understand that you have to be a "prick" or a "bitch" to survive in the party system. Mere mortals who do not sit in Caucus or on the boards of big companies really could not envisage or understand the ruthless nature of governance, and their expectation is that these folk at some point must relate to the masses, and thereby them, but they are wrong. Some of the most ruthless and character demolishing incidents I have ever witnessed was in these quorums.

The mere fact that a majority group of mainly male politicians in the Labour Party chose a woman for the top job is enough for most feminists and females in this country.
