I had a good chuckle when I read this from antiseptic.

>>Hmmmm, I've known the occasional woman or gay to turn *because* of me.<<

Then I realized that I had read it as:

"Hmmmm, I've known the occasional woman to turn gay *because* of me."

I'm still not sure that my reading was wrong.

Severin I pick Hugh Jackman.

This post carries an abbreviated long winded disclaimer which basically say's I have not the slightest interest in turning gay for anybody but don't want to be a spoilsport (or get assigned a certain religious extremist as my cell mate).

Many moons ago I was asked to produce/direct a gay review once because I was seen as neutral ? Hmmm??

Those who have been around 'stage tranies' will know the prevalence of the double entendre and bitchiness.

During rehearsals gay male 'stars' claimed that I was enough reason to turn them straight.
And the girls reckoned I was enough reason to turn them gay.

Humf :-(

I took my girlfriend now wife to see the show.
She went white and looked like she was about to fainted, when 'Sue' a 6 ft something ex wharfie (big) drag queen replete in pale blue lurex evening gown and gloves, welcomed us at the door. 'Sue' turned arround to the others saying "Ok girls, time to focus the big cheese stick's (head) here." waving her cocked little finger.
Then she smiled showing her front tooth gap, gave my girlfriend a kiss on the cheek with "don't worry about, me dear, I spoken for. We just like to keep him in line."

I found out later she had never seen or experienced drag queens/ female impersonators before. Sure she'd seen the odd gay designer but that was it. It hadn't occurred to me that this was so confrontingly foreign. in the mid 70's

Needless to say the conversation while having coffee alone with the girlfriend later, involved a *lot* of verbal tap dancing. Eeek!

She didn't tell her parent where we'd been because quote "mum had heart problems".

I think I've finally worked out why so many of the "ladies" here are so ardently opposed to men: they see us as sexual competitors...

It is interesting that so many women are drawn to other women sexually, whereas so few men are drawn to other men.

I see my daughter amd her schoolfriends routinely hug and kiss each other godbye and hello, but boys would never do that.

When I was at uni, I can recall several of the women having a fling with each other at one time or another (including a girl I was especially struck with), often forming quite long relationships, yet when meeting them years later they were married with children and doing the full suburbanite schtick.

It also seems to me that the "bull dyke" is a far less common figure than the "flaming queen" within their respective communities. Perhaps that is because female homosexuality is a far nore widespread meme and hence there are more "normal" girls within that community, whereas male homosexuality is less "normal" and so more extreme examples predominate. I'm not sure if that's cultural or the expression of a broad phenotype.

I'm sure that all of the men here (and the Pomeranian) are being honest in stating that they've never been attracted to other men. Even forming friendships with other men is something that many struggle with, especially as they get older.

I doubt it has anything to do with the "fear of being penetrated" as the feminist critique would have it.

Pericles:"I had a good chuckle when I read this from antiseptic."

Except that it wasn't from antiseptic, as others have pointed out. Bugger those preconceptions, eh? I always get a good chuckle when some nitwit is so desperate to have a go at antiseptic that they grasp at straws dropped by someone else.

Pericles:"I'm still not sure that my reading was wrong."

And examinator agrees with you
