Houel:"Maybe they spiked your drinks! That's it, you've got an easy excuse now."

Oh damn, I so should have so used that one.

“Hey I know this is really controversial, but I've decided I like Kiwis. My missus is a Kiwi, and I constantly laugh at the way she says hid (head) and I always type 'yis' instead of yes when I email her.“

Sanx Houel babe and that is a coinkydink; my husband is a Kiwi and I like Kiwi’s and also laugh at them lots. Does your missus write “yeees” for yes and “heeed” for head back atchya?

“And you're kiwi aren't ya?,”

Yis.

“and you're the only poster who I don't seem to piss off, and I find you amusing and entertaining.”

Nah you don’t piss me off, you seem quite clever and obviously have excellent taste in people. Now amusing and entertaining are qualities I strive for, my audience here at home is a much easier crowd and generally poking out my tongue will cause 3 year olds to wet their pants laughing. But I certainly slip often and get too snooty or snotty online.

“I noticed the time you posted and was jealous I wasn't out drinking last night. But the Ashes starts tonight!”

Bit unheard of middle of the week like that. My guests were none too happy with the kookaburras at dawn. Ashes = Cricket? I know nothing about sport but I have just come inside after spending about half an hour with a Sky Ball – really good bounce on it up to 75 feet. They reckon it’s filled with helium, I wouldn’t know – I don’t know what helium looks like.

Hey examinator do not stop posting.
You are part of the reason I come here so are you TPP .
Still unsure, maybe we all are, just why we do ,is it the verbal tennis?
Like whats name its test cricket tonight, and that says beers by the fire, unless we are doing bad, I may have to get into the Bundy big time then.
Bit wrong lost so much weight I should not tempt fate, but don't want to die from boredom in any case.

Good morning whistler your post reminded me, some who post here have a site of their own.
A site owner comes here now and again stays a while then goes for months.
The strangest story comes back to me every time I read one of his posts, or is it her?
years ago I inhabited two sites, left one as it became uninhabitable, too many trogs.
Found his/hers hung around posting ,but few joined us.
Found migrants from a very good site that had closed had started another, I joined it.
Even posted its address on my other site, the one OLO visitor had.
It was deleted, every time some one posted it.
We had words, he/she told me it was best I leave, I did.
Funny in a way he/she now runs the shell, empty room, of the very forum I was told not to advertise, and drops its address here often.
For whatever reason we come here some have reasons I can never understand.
Just OLO now home paddock stuff, but if you look around you may not find better.

It is a strange thing aye Belly. A couple of sites I was on all had the hate DoCS agenda which although I can complain about them all day long I wasn’t feeling the hate and I couldn’t launch in to the same “all caseworkers are evil” stuff that the others were.

So what happens is what usually happens and someone or several eventually accuse me of working for DoCS or being a spy (they get very paranoid). I tried and tried to support them and understood how hurt these parents were but they really don’t like anyone coming in with anything too logical. One site is still good and more balanced; Power4Parents.

But here there is no set agenda I can spot, individual or some groups of like minded people but overall very friendly with some good debate. I have really learnt tons of stuff, as well as new words. But also a bit of training in how to read what someone has said properly – now and again I slip but hey.

My daughter asks what’s going on in The Forum today – she doesn’t want the answer though.

Hubby is quite interested in some discussions and will often sit while I read stuff out to him, he is usually the one explaining current news to me as he reads the newspapers each day and I don’t.

He’s gotten used to a few names and although will probably never log in will make a comment like “oh Fractelle wont like that” or “what did Anti say back?” – Now and again he will suggest I am wrong, cheek of the bugger.

I envy you, PP. One of, if not the main, reason I come here, is because my natural family is not the slightest bit interested in the kind of debates we have here.
Dysfunctional families are sometimes much more interesting than functional ones.
