One should not just skim when catching up on a thread. I had, as of posting on Monday, 24 August 2009 at 11:31:41 AM, not noticed Fractelle's remarks addressed to [The Pied] Piper in her post of Sunday, 23 August.

I am most sincerely flattered, if that is not too oxymoronic a thing to say. But the 'd' on the end of the word 'loved', Fractelle! I hope it betrayed typo, not tense, what with 'd' being next to 's' in that qwerty way that keyboards have.

I had not realized until I attempted to post that the OLO site cookie apparently expires after a certain period of either non-visitation of the Forum, or failure to continue posting. Due to my hazard reduction fiddling on the block day after day, I was only able to look in on the Forum occasionally, but was presuming throughout my posting drought that my userID was showing up on the 'Users Currently Online' display where someone (or many someones) would surely have seen it, when in fact it hadn't been. Sorry for giving everybody the wrong idea that I might have dropped off the perch. So all posters who have said something nice about me by way of premature obituary are allowed one abusive post 'free kick' in my direction if they now feel cheated. Fractelle can have three abusive/ascerbic post 'free kicks', because she not only said something nice, but seriously massaged my ego. I am sure she can measure up to the task.

As an extra little bonus for Fractelle, should she not already be familiar with it, I post a link to a YouTube video of a band playing the music that was playing inside my head in the OLO post to which she provided a link, the (slow) march 'Herzog von Braunschweig'. An interesting coincidence is that it is being played by the Reiskirchen Volunteer Firefighters' Orchestra!
