Trumpster,
"It was Mao who said during the Korean War that the aim was to kill as many Americans as possible because the US would give up if they lost 50 thousand lives whereas the Chinese leadership wouldn't even think twice about losing 50 millions of their people." Mao, did say something like that, you've added the "wouldn't even think twice bit". The sad reality for the poor peoples of the world, their death toll will be very heavy indeed whenever they fight powerful imperialist regimes like America for their freedom. In Vietnam 60,000 Americans in body bags, sad as that is, something like 4 million Vietnamese dead in their struggle for freedom from, firstly French, and then American imperialism. I don't doubt the Iranians will pay a very high price with their fight against American and Zionist aggression. "Democracies value every drop of blood" Do they really, was it not that French General Ferdinand Foch who said something like; "If the enemy kills one million of our men, and we kill one million and one of theirs, WE WIN! Foch was like all the others, the British Commander Haig agreed with Foch. Were they not part of the great democracies as you would claim. They didn't give a rats about the dead on their side. Ever heard of the term "Cannon Fodder"! It still applies today! Posted by Paul1405, Thursday, 26 March 2026 3:51:20 PM

"You live in a fantasy world. Its absolutely obvious that Iran is being bombed back to the stone age and the only reason it isn't there already is that Trump wants to leave some infrastructure for the Iranian people if/when they overthrown their mad mullah masters."
If Trump Attacks Iranian infrastructure, then Iran blows up the rest of Gulf states infrastructure, including oil and gas, refineries, ports, power stations, water desalination - game over Gulf States and West, plus U.S. Bond Market collapse plus Global financial meltdown plus Trump loses midterms. Trumps openly telling lies while the world laughs at him. I just watched a comedy skit where the host grabbed a dictionary to look up the meaning of the word 'obliterate'. Iran's not going to negotiate with him after he already used negotiations as a ruse twice before attacking. Maybe they are buying time, trying to find out if the new Ayatollah is alive, whose in charge, see who they can bribe.. But they don't have the leverage, Iran does. Iran believes they can block the strait, make the U.S. Israel, Gulf States and the world generally feel the pain and repercussions of a Persian Gulf oil crisis before the West can do anything about them to stop it.. I guess well find out, right Posted by Armchair Critic, Thursday, 26 March 2026 4:19:26 PM

"Were they not part of the great democracies as you would claim."
Well I was talking about current times, not things from a century ago. No, the British and French of WW1 were not the equivalent of today's liberal democracies. The fact that you had to go that far back in time rather proves my point. "If Trump Attacks Iranian infrastructure, then Iran blows up the rest of Gulf states infrastructure, " I see you are still falling for the rubbish from your so-called sources. The fact is that Iran no longer has the ability to take out infrastructure of the Gulf States in any coordinated fashion. Their command and control structure is finished and what they fire off is haphazard and not targeted. They fired on Diego Garcia t'other day and it was a monumental embarrassment. They have no air-force. They have no navy. Their missile factories are no more. their only play is to threaten Hormuz and even there the have to rely on the risk aversion of Lloyds to achieve their aims. I'll make two predictions: 1. They'll eventually surrender all pretenses of being a nuclear state and all pretenses of being a M-E hegemon. 2. You'll learn absolutely nothing about how your 'sources' misled you and will continue believing them and expressing the idea that you don't even care if you're being lied to. Oh gawd....
I'll make a prediction you'll remain oblivious no matter what happens. Every single video I watch, they're all saying Trump screwed up, has no idea what he's doing, is desperately looking for an off ramp. Do you want me to send you a list of the titles and thumbnails of the last 20 videos or so I've watched so you can check? And they're all experts in their fields. Not like the idiot western 'analysts', paid presstitutes and TV generals you listen to. The U.S. and Europeans thought that had caught Russia in a quagmire in Ukraine...
But now obviously Russia and China will provide the same support to Iran and the others have to Ukraine. But this is a global war, that is already affecting everyone through oil. Now the U.S. and Europe have been caught in their own quagmires, and it could be a fight between the U.S. and Iran to the end. At least I can say I wasn't one of the people who supported this fools errand. I've been warning about it all for years. Posted by Armchair Critic, Thursday, 26 March 2026 7:39:32 PM

Telling you things you'd prefer not to hear isn't the same a s lying.
"Blind Freddy can see that Iran is doing a lot better in this war than what the great warmonger and his Zionist mate claim. NOW THAT'S A FACT."
You live in a fantasy world. Its absolutely obvious that Iran is being bombed back to the stone age and the only reason it isn't there already is that Trump wants to leave some infrastructure for the Iranian people if/when they overthrown their mad mullah masters.
But I do have to say that Trump is doing some unexpected favours for the Iranian rulers. For example he's converted their entire surface fleet into submarines.
"'The Americans are soft and will give up, we will never give up."
Yes its true. Democracies value every drop of blood expended to fight their wars whereas the totalitarian regimes Paul so admires are prepared to squander as much blood of their people as is necessary to ensure their power remains intact.
It was Mao who said during the Korean War that the aim was to kill as many Americans as possible because the US would give up if they lost 50 thousand lives whereas the Chinese leadership wouldn't even think twice about losing 50 millions of their people.
