One of the joys of watching the current shenanigans going on in the US is to get a bird’s eye, real time look at how modern media works in a partially free state.

We now know as a matter of established fact that the mainstream media (MSM) has been prolifically and purposely lying about the state of the current president’s mental state for at least the last three years. There are innumerable articles about how the facts were hidden from the plebs to try to stop OrangeManBad from gaining power. Only when the lie could no longer be maintained, did the media finally, reluctantly admit that indeed the emperor had no clothes.

Right-wing media had been saying this for years, but the MSM had dismissed that as conspiracy theories and straight up fake news. And the left-leaning plebs bought it. Then, just like that, Biden was gone, replaced by Harris. But Harris has a very problematic record. The interesting thing is to observe how the MSM, in their attempts to keep OrangeManBad out of office, will use their power to whitewash (!) Harris’ record.

In 2021, Biden appointed Harris to oversee the problems on the US southern border, saying she would address the illegal immigrant problem. She utterly failed. So now we have a concerted effort from the MSM, under written instruction from the Democrats, that her record as Border Czar is to be erased. To achieve this the MSM is simply denying that she was ever Border Czar even though there is ample evidence from their own records that they themselves described her as such.
There are also records to show that, while a Senator, she was determined by independent fact-checkers as the most radical left-leaning member of the Senate. Another problem to be solved. This was done by simply deleting the fact-check pages which showed this now unacceptable data.

Orwell wrote of the memory-hole where the past was regularly amended. Soviet critics used to joke that, in Russia, the future was fixed but the past was constantly changing.

Its interesting to watch that process in real time.

According to a recent Pew Research Center report we're
told that the majority of people surveyed felt that
today social media and the internet kept them informed
about domestic and international events.

Of course the media by cherry-picking and being selective
can mislead readers into spin that champions a chosen
political agenda, person, or party and obfuscates others.

Politicians and parties seek to harness this nature of the
media to their own purposes.

Too often the media is guilty of omission. In not reporting
what was done well as opposed to what was done badly.

when the rich would control the means of communication making
it impossible for ordinary people to make informed decisions.

Under existing conditions we can see that there are private
enterprises who inevitably control directly or indirectly
the main sources of information (press, radio, tv, education).

It is extremely difficult for the individual citizen to come
to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of their
political rights. The more we try to use a variety of sources
the better informed we shall be.

Continued funding of our national broadcaster is essential.
It's regulated by set standards - and is considered one of
the most trusted of our news sources.

Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalisms around Global

We're told that each year the report delivers comparative

The University of Canberra conducts the Australian research

to news, journalism and in recent years has chartered the
declining trust and growing misinformation within the news
and social media ecosystems.

This report is a strong validation of the work of the SBS teams

The elite don’t have the guts or the ability to understand human nature enough to control a dictatorship: Harris is not up to speed for this and as Trump has already stated, she is even less of a contest than Biden.
Biden was a compliant useful idiot, Harris more so. Biden was obviously mentally deficient but had a form of loyal supporters, Harrises loyalty base is thin comprising entirely radical left.

Harris represents the entirety of the elitist power corps of the top twenty percent , and this now demonstrates the rags that dresses up Democracy and should be a call to arms for the eighty percent of the population remaining unrepresented and ignored.

Biden represented some semblance of inclusion to outsiders, Harris is ignorantly oblivious to their existence. She is a calamitous prospect for US President both domestically and in US foreign Policy directions.

Better prey for the success of DT; in that choice there is some hope to turn the ship around before it sinks on the shoals of appeasement and travels too far down the dark path it’s already treading towards defeat at the hands of Islamic terrorists.

We are not actually fighting Islamic Terrorism but only beginning to recognise it on our collective shores in the West

Amazing, I hope for no other reason that 'Hot Lips' Harris gets up, just so it annoys the crap out of YOU!

Well as usual Paul contributes precisely nothing to the conversation other than childish spitballs.

BTW Paul, I already predicted that Trump would lose due to the cheating that the Democrats get away with, so if he does lose it won't annoy the crap out of me, just be another in the long line of successful predictions I've made here. But I made my comments about Trump losing more than 24 hrs ago and we all know that that's way beyond Paul's memory capacity.

One more thing Paul. You obviously hate Trump but when I've asked before which of his policies cause you to do so, you run a mile. All we can do is assume you hate Trump and Trumpism because the people you rely on to tell you what to think told you to do so.

The really funny (or is it sad) thing is that Paul preens himself as being on the side of the worker and downtrodden. But these are now Trump's main supporters. So Paul is now touting for the rich and powerful in their efforts to suppress the poor and working class.

Just on that point, (and this'll go over Paul's head) it ought to be noted that Biden only dropped out after it became clear that the major donors to the Democrats would no longer provide funds to them if he was the candidate. In other words, the Democrats are now bought and paid for by the billionaire class, and these are the people Paul supports. He won't understand that.
