mhaze,
"Even a broken clock is right twice a day?" Well, one that runs a minute slow each day would be right once every two years or so. Even Homer nods. And, you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. Posted by Foxy, Tuesday, 4 June 2024 11:10:34 PM

Hi Foxy,
Is there a 'SECT OF THE DONALD' already set up in Australia? If not possibly mhaze, and 12 (Donald) disciples, could set up a local group to preach the word of The Donald in the area with mhaze as the first "Prophet " of the very first Australian gathering of the 'Sect Of The Donald'. January 6th each year could be a sort of "Good Friday" for the cult where they commemorate the "Crucifixion" of The Donald under the rule of Pontius Biden. November 5th could become "Resurrection Day"! Posted by Paul1405, Wednesday, 5 June 2024 5:42:39 AM

"Well, balanced in terms of the ABC. That is they tell the story from the point of view of the left and for balance they tell the story from the point of view of the far-left. This is balance as far as the ABC is concerned."
I'm not entirely convinced about that. I think much of the rights whinge comes down to the abc not sucking Israels balls like you / they do, to the point you / they think the abc's fair reporting on the Israel / Gaza conflict is Antisemitic and sacrilege. So you won't get any sense out of the right on this issue, their loyaties lie with a foreign nation anyway, they're not unbiased. - Their gripes exist because of their bias. Take this aricle here: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-05-21/ebrahim-raisi-the-butcher-of-tehran-rise-and-fall/103870706 "A decades-long shadow war between Iran and Israel exploded in April when Tehran struck the country from its own soil." - What they DON'T say is that Israel's belligerence in launching a strike on Irans consulate in Iraq, an act that goes against ALL international norms was a provocation that FORCED Iran to respond. * So this article omits facts to tell a Pro-Israel narrative. - But then you go on reading further and they talk about the Shah of Iran in exile. So in my opinion the article is not Pro-Palestinian. It's pro-American hegemony, pro-democracy, pro imperialist and pro US foreign policy. Take this: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-06-03/foreign-affairs-poll-yougov-donald-trump-julian-assange-gaza/103920126 Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has called allegations of crimes by Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "libellous" and "outrageous", joining condemnation from leaders of the UK and US. Dutton's a lying bias piece of crap. "I Was Shocked": Meet the State Dept. Official Who Quit After Report Denies Israel Blocking Gaza Aid http://youtu.be/V48vIcHTvbQ The US government knows damn well Israel is committing war crimes. - And I'd bet all these other conservative western leaders do too. Israel-firster politicians, and under 'democracy' they've probably all been bought off by Pro-Israel lobby, like sheeps to the slaughter because of their own religious bias and personal quest for power. The right want biased reporting, one that matches their own biases.

WWIII prospects this week...
The US seems to be trying to escalate the Ukraine conflict to all out war; - But they're trying to do so in a way that when it happens the West can blame Russia for the escalation and increase in hostilities. This is whats happening. The West is losing badly in Ukraine. The West and Ukraine want to be able to use long-range missiles into pre-2014 Russia. Ukraine argues it doesn't have any chance to win whilst they have there are these 'safe zones' inside Russia. Russia argues that these US weapons also require US surveillance, US targeting and that firing them into Russia is not Ukraine attacking Russia but The West openly attacking Russia. They also argue that Ukraine enjoys NATO 'safe zones' inside Europe which Russia can't hit without escalation; So Russia argues that if the West uses weapons inside Russia, then it's then ok for Russia to attack NATO bases in Europe. The West either believe Putin is bluffing, which he is not, or they know he's not bluffing but are deliberately looking to escalate in a manner that makes Russia look like they are the ones doing it. St. Peterberg International Economic Forum this week, and also the BRICS forum in Kazan in October under Russian chairmanship. I wonder if the U.S. is willing to start a world war to prevent further de-dollarisation / economic moves against them. They seem backed into a corner, willing to throw their allies under the bus, and completely ill-prepared to lose in Ukraine. Posted by Armchair Critic, Wednesday, 5 June 2024 9:17:11 AM
