In what can only be described as an illegal act of murder, the Israeli Air Force attacked a convoy of aid workers from 'World Central Kitchen'(WCK) after it has received IDF clearance to move out from a Deir al-Balah warehouse, where the team had unloaded more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza. Seven aid workers were killed including an Australian citizen Lalzawmi "Zomi" Frankcom along with a Palestinian driver. World condemnation of Israel has been swift, with world leaders voicing their disgust at Israels illegal act. Speaking in Brisbane Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Frankcom’s death was “completely unacceptable” and “beyond any reasonable circumstances”. World leaders continue to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, but Israel thumbs it nose at such calls,it is ignoring a UNSC binding resolution ordering a ceasefire. Israel is making itself a pariah state by continuing to commit this and other illegal act of murder and terror in Gaza.

After bombing the Iranian embassy and consulate in Syria yesterday, I think it's time to start sending Israeli diplomats home.

This bombing of an Aussie citizen, should not be swept under the table.
Israel is a terrorist state committing genocide for land theft.

“Illegal act of murder” my arse.

Apart from the fact that murder is always Illegal, and this wasn't wasn't murder - these people got in the way of a missile or whatever killed them when they had no business being there in the first place. I'm looking forward to the outpourings of grief and ‘compassion’ from the usual suspects who didn't know the Australian woman, and hadn't heard of her before now.

Albanese is doing the old pointless huff and puff, and threatening to ‘call in’ the Israeli ambassador; Wong is ‘demanding’ answers. More virtue signalling they think will make them popular.

“Condemnation” of Israel is always “swift” no matter what they do. Insincere bleating about an accidental death is being revved up: just one more excuse to have a go at Israel and Jews. Screeching about an “Illegal act” that was, in fact, an accident; an accident that wouldn't have happened to this Australian woman if she had had the sense to keep out of such a dangerous place.

Go for it.

Good Morning Paul,

The news is tragic. We know that foreign aid workers take
risks, however we also know that they don't take rifles
or tanks or weapons and they rely on the international
system to respect humanitarian workers. The bombing of
hospitals, the Red Cross, have always been protected during
wars. It was a given in the past that humanitarian
workers in conflict zones should be ensured safety by
combatants to carry out life-saving responses.

It is truly tragic that an Australian aid worker, working
to provide food to starving civilians has been killed in
this fashion. The worker had been doing this job for over
five years and her story is of a life dedicated to the
service of others.

The Australian government should not only press the
Israeli government to cease attacks on aid convoys and
allow safe land passage of humanitarian assistance, it
should ask the Israeli ambassador to leave the country.
Support for Israel needs to stop now.

I also was shocked to hear about this terrible event.

The convoy was shot by an unmanned aircraft.

Why did the aircraft shoot the convoy?

Perhaps it was an operator's misidentification.
Perhaps it was operating in "automatic mode" and had a software malfunction.
Perhaps the signals were jammed and the aircraft received an "attack" instruction meant for some other similar aircraft?
Perhaps the operators pressed the wrong buttons due to fatigue.
Or out of fatigue looked at the wrong screen of another aircraft and saw Hamas terrorists there.
Or perhaps the operator fell asleep and their body pushed some control as they collapsed.
Or perhaps they placed a cup of coffee in the wrong spot which pushed some control unknowingly.
Or the liquid fell on a keyboard and jammed it during a crucial period, not allowing the operator to abort the action.
Or yes, perhaps it was a malicious murder by the aircraft's operator and/or their commanders.

Will we have the patience to wait for the investigation results?

Armchair Critic,
Was he/she bombed or simply in another country's wrong place at the wrong time ? Anyone volunteering to go to a war zone is knowingly risking his life & that is closer to suicide than being murdered.
What do others think ?
