Scott Morrison was an authoritarian leader. He made
decisions and announcements without consulting his team. As a national leaders the man tested the mood and followed the trend. He did not attempt to lead on any issue. It's a matter of what kind of leader voters prefer. I think that a government should be a team effort, not a personality cult. Yet some voters prefer a Trumpian style government as we can see on the American PBS News programs. To me our current Prime Minister acts like a leader. He supports and enables his team. He raises issues, explains the problem, and proposes solutions for consideration. He is consultative and inclusive. He takes advise and has not boasted about his achievements. Governments should be a team effort, not based on a personality cult. In my humble opinion. Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 6 April 2024 10:14:37 AM

Here is a link from a doctor who's actually worked
in Gaza refuting the information that Israeli forces are putting out to justify their behaviour: http://irishexaminer.com/news/munster/arid-41367394.html Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 6 April 2024 10:30:18 AM

The lack of empathy of the Israelis for the Palestinians is explicable. After 2,000 years without a home and the Holocaust that exterminated 6 million Jews, they feel vulnerable. It's explicable and understandable, but that doesn't mean it's excusable. Having experienced such terrible injustice and suffering themselves, one might have expected them to be sensitive to the suffering of other innocent victims as they were themselves. According to polls in November 2023, 57.5% of Israeli Jews said that they believed the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) were using too little firepower in Gaza, 36.6% said the IDF was using an appropriate amount of firepower, while just 1.8% said they believed the IDF was using too much firepower, and 4.2% said they weren’t sure whether it was using too much or too little firepower. The same polls indicated that 49.5% of respondents said that they trusted the IDF more than Prime Minister Netanyahu, while just 7.3% said they trusted Netanyahu more than the IDF. Support for a two-state solution also went down slightly among Jewish Israelis, dropping from 37.5% in favour of a two-state solution to 28.6% supporting the idea in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 attacks. http://time.com/6333781/israel-hamas-poll-palestine/ Of course, despite the monstrosity of the crimes committed against the Jews, nothing can justify the mass bombings and destruction committed by the Israelis against the Palestinian civilian population in Gaza of which innocent women and children are the principal victims. . No one with an ounce of fairness is accepting the Zionist whitewash of this whole disgusting war crime. The "quick as you can" report by a couple of biased ex IDF people is a joke, its unacceptable to all except the bunch of far right Usual Suspects, like those on this Forum.

Hi Foxy,
You asked for "COMPASSION" from the Hard Right Brigade on the Forum, unless it means hate and bigotry, me thinks you ask for too much. Posted by Paul1405, Sunday, 7 April 2024 8:17:26 AM

He arrogantly and ignorantly said that Australians were “outraged” by it. He doesn't have a clue about Australians and what they think.
A more unaware Prime Minister has never existed.
There was no “outrage” talk from him about October 7.
His use of the word, “unacceptable” in relation to the death of one Australian for being where she should not have been is silly. It's unacceptable for people to go into a war zone, unnecessarily, and expect to be safe.
Further, this buffoon threatened (without any authority to do so) that Israel would lose support.
A good many Australians would be outraged by that comment.
Albanese Labor detests Israel. Albanese's politically-inspired “outrage” is for the benefit of a few electorates full of his imports.
