Yes. Too much immigration. Too much government spending. Too much government. What can we do about it? Probably nothing. We have a government that less than a third of the voters wanted. I've just watched someone a lot smarter than I am saying that our system of preferential voting is not giving people the government they want. I've always thought that the system was crap; so do most countries; only a very few have preferential voting like ours.

Compulsory voting should also be scrapped: then only people who take an interest and have the responsibility, plus the intelligence, to contribute would make the decisions. If people are so stupid that they need to be made to vote, they shouldn't be forced to because they don't really care, and will either vote informally or just copy a how-to-vote card rigged up by one party or the other without the interest or the brains to think about choosing their own preferences.

The only people who benefit from compulsory, preferential voting are the major parties - the duopoly.
