Thank you for your comments. Domestic violence and
other forms of abuse - is horrific. I worked for
a brief period of time for the Department of Human
Services here in Melbourne. My office was across the
hall from the Child Protection Unit. I witnessed some
very distressing moments. It's a way of life that
very few people see.

Hi Bezza,

We all have our down days and difficult moments and
none of us can be optimistic and positive all the
time. I've proven this by reacting - when the right
buttons are pushed for me on this forum. Of course I later
regret having done so. But I'm getting better at it.

As with most things in life, the sweet spot is in a
healthy balance of positivity and optimism along with
realism, a sense of context, and a working understanding
of what is appropriate and when.

The need for a balance of optimism and realism is
high-lighted when we consider how our feelings about
people influences our behaviour.

In any case Bezza - I appreciate your constructive
comments. Thank You for your good wishes and I also
