I often wish former politicians would stay out of international affairs, unless they have something of value to add.

I don't always agree with Alexander Downer, but at least he has some experience in foreign affairs. Bronwyn Bishop however is another kettle of fish and I feel she should stay of these types of debates.

The ABC has lodged a formal complaint with Sky News Australia after Bronwyn Bishop said the public broadcaster was “aligning themselves with the policy of Germany’s national socialist party for the elimination of Jews” in its coverage of the Israel-Hamas war.

The comments have since been taken down and she later went on to say "If I offended anyone, I’m sorry", but Nazi Germany committed mass murder killing of six million Jewish people. That's a horrible thing to occur to so many innocent people.

Please Bronwyn don't compare these horrid killings to anything this trivial, that being your view on media coverage in Australia on the ABC. I know people who are Jews and they are very upset with your comments.

I would like to see all hasbeen politicians just keep quiet and enjoy their taxpayer-funded pensions; most of them were not much use, and did very little, when they were serving politicians.

Current politicians are not much more interesting or worth listening to. They have there strings pulled by people other than the voters they are supposed to represent.

The ARC (Alliiance For Responsible Citizenship) was held in London recently. A lot of ex-politicians waffling on about stuff they could have done when they were in power, but didn't. The hypocritical, gutless bastards are big talking when they are out of the job, or in opposition. Too late then.

Politicians, current or cactus, are not our friends, and we should not have faith in any of them.

Interesting that the biggest supporters of Zionist genocide against Palestinians is coming from the far right on the political spectrum. I think for these extremists, its more or less a case of; "My enemies enemy is my friend". These nut jobs have no "love" for Jews, but even less "love" for Palestinians (Muslims). If the Jews were to exterminate every last Palestinian, then the extreme would be over joyed, to a point, then they would be happy to see the total extermination of the Jews.

Bronwyn Bishop is one of the most useless politicians Australia has seen in modern times. For all her longevity in politics she achieved nothing of note. Preferring to be the petulant pompous brat with an overinflated sense of entitlement, shes never been anything more than a North Shore snob! A weak and ineffectual Minister and a useless Speaker is all that can be said about her. Dry up you old prune!

Yes, Bronwyn made a silly accusation, but the ABC from my perspective is anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian, and probably antisemitic. It most certainly does not provide a balanced reporting of the conflict.

The fact that ordinary Australian's standard of living has dropped by 5.1% because of mass immigration by current politicians is probably more important than useless criticism of clapped-out, ex-politicians, whom only the media keeps digging up to waffle on. All the Bishops, Howards, Abbotts and Keatings and Turnulls do is take our eye off the present bunch of nohopers. If we let them, which some here obviously do.
