Former US President Donald Trump's trial into his
handling of classified documents is set for May 2024.

It's one of several criminal and civil cases he faces
as he runs for president. He faces 37 charges including
30 violations of the Espionage Act over allegations he
stored dozens of classified documents at his Florida
Resort and refused to return them to the FBI and the
National Archives.

What is this case really all about?

The former President according to their Constitution can still run
for office, even from jail. And these charges against him
may not stick. So why all this fuss? Is it desperation
on behalf of the Democrats to ensure that Trump
won't get elected?

Putting a former president on trial - is it a good precedent
to set?

Your thoughts please?

Yes Foxy, they are terrified of him. They know they can't beat him in a fair election, & are worried they will be unable to get away with enough cheating to win.

At the same time they are also terrified that he will come after the swamp much harder than last time, after the way they have tried to get him this time. So many would end up in jail, they would have no party left.

I doubt he would survive an election campaign.

Dear Hassie,

Thanks for that. I have to admit that I don't understand
what's happening in the US with the former President.

Foxy, I think it is wonderful that they are charging Trump. Personally I would like to see more politicians prosecuted. Especially here in Australia after Robodebt. And then of course there is Boris in the UK.

According to Brookings Institution in the US:

"For some, the decision to prosecute Donald Trump is easy.
No one is above the law, including the former President and
the decision to prosecute should be based on evidence."

"But for others, prosecuting a former President of the US,
whose followers maintain an almost cult-like loyalty to him
is a decision with enormous consequences."

"Would a successful prosecution and possibly even jail time
make Donald Trump a martyr and make worse the ugly divisions
he's launched on the country?"

"Prosecution would take place under the Biden administrations
Justice Department which would give birth even more to
conspiracy theorists."

"Is the end game really to put the guy in jail, or is it
to make sure Trump is never within 1,000 feet of the presidency
again?"

"Prosecuting Trump is not a simple matter of determining
whether the evidence is there. It's a question embedded in the
larger issue of how to restore and defend American democracy."

"Is Trump fit for office?"

"In an ideal world voters would follow with the final word."

First of all, Trump was President, he was Commander in Chief.
All those documents were written specifically FOR HIS BENEFIT as Commander in Chief,
- As well as the fact he had the power to declassify ANYTHING, and also pardon himself.

Yes it is a witch hunt by the Democratic Party, specifically to stop Trump running again for President, and also to prevent Biden from facing allegations of wrongdoing and prosecution himself, in regards to events prior to even becoming President.

A lot of terrible injustices have occurred.
Biden should not have been President in the first place.
The FBI knew he was engaged in corrupt activities and kept it from Trump and the US public, and censored social media organisations under the cover of 'Russian disinformation', and instead of following Trumps directions to investigate Biden and Burisma, the FBI indicted Trump himself for asking about it, when they themselves had an obligation to follow the allegations up themselves, and not just the word of a whistleblower inside Burisma, but audio files of Biden coercing / bribing related individuals and verifiable by the Hunter Biden laptop which was in their own possession.

And this isn't so much about Biden corruption, it's even worse.
It's about collusion of an intelligence agency to manipulate the results of the 2020 election and impeach a sitting President, in regards to allegations that they knew and had verifiable proof was true.

Not to mention all the things they were doing in the years prior.
Wish to find out more? Watch this:

MASSIVE FBI CORRUPTION REVEALED IN THE HUNTER BIDEN SCANDAL

And whether you like Trump or not is besides the point.
Biden was known to be corrupt prior to the election, and the FBI took an active role in an effort to remove a sitting President and install a known corrupt Biden in his place.
