Sorry Paul, but you're just demonstrating that you don't know what Fascism is - nationalist AND socialist. Nothing to do with calls to make your country great - all politicians implicitly make that claim. I hear Albo regularly call Australia 'great'.

Paul,

You are right, both Hitler and Mussolini were socialists and Fascism is essentially another branch of socialism.

Every decade or so Australia needs to experience a Labor government when they forget how badly they cocked it up the last time.

Albozo is doing this in record time. All we need now is another boats crisis.

I believe the horseshoe political theory applies to these megalomaniacs Mr Hitler and Mr Mussolini, you can throw in Mr Stalin into the mix as well, all existed at the same time. Extreme political systems like Fascism and Communism sees the boundaries of their respective philosophies become somewhat blurred, and power and control becomes the overriding "philosophy" of the regimes, with the supreme leader (them) exercising total authority. I don't know if they were Socialists, Capitalists or even Seven Day Adventists, but what I do know is they were all power mad and crazy.

p/s, I said; "they all existed at the same time", they might explain why so many bombs were going off everywhere while these guys were running the show.

Dear Shadow Minister,

Lets look at how "badly" the Labor Government has done
since it came into office.

The Labor Government has made some big strides in foreign
policy. It's reset the dialogue. Discussion lines seem to
be open again which is vital for peaceful dealings. From
overcoming the rift with France to strengthening relationships
with neighbouring nations that barely raised a blip on the
previous government's radar.

It's tackled the problem of rapidly raising energy costs
by locking in legislation to cap domestic wholesale prices of
goal and gas that feeds the nation's electricity system.
It struck a deal with Independent Senator David Pocock
for multi-pronged workplace legislation making it easier
for workers to bargain with their employers.

Establishing an Anti-Corruption Commission was passed in the
Senate. Of course the challenges are substantial. The conflict
in the Ukraine has wrecked havoc on the global economy.
Energy prices have soared as has rental accommodation. Yet
unemployment at 3.4% is the lowest for many decades.

Australia's international borders are open again. This allows
the return of tourists and foreign students and provides a
gateway to fill skill shortages.

Reducing government debt and limiting inflation pressures
while ensuring government services are delivered fully will
continue to test all ministries. But our Prime Minister has
changed the mood of our nation - no small feat.

He's brought calm, dignity, and a sense of reliability and trust
to his office. This has been done because importantly he and
his team have pursued negotiations across parliament benches.
The PM has surprised everyone. He's gone beyond our expectations.
Which is not a bad thing. Hopefully things will continue along
these lines.

Hi Foxy,

Down at the outdoor food trucks last night, must have been 30 or 40 there getting a feed at one time. Haven't done the van's for some time, 3 working, all busy serving hot food, and so many "customers", I remember the good old pre-covid days of 10 or 20 in a night with 1 van, now up to 40 there at a time. Families coming, can't afford Macca's anymore now its Rosies Van for hot soup and a bun no sesame seeds, no 'Happy Meals' anymore, only sad ones. Our regular charity has doubled its numbers in 2 years. Coordinator was tell me Friday, talking with 'Anglicare' they are expecting a doubling of business in some areas over the next 12 months. Coordinator was mentioning 5 mornings a week with 'Brekky Club' 3 mornings. She said; "How did I feel about that?" I said; "We'll find the resources... some how".
