Cost of living seems to be one of the very few things that attracts the attention of Australians. They should be paying attention to what is causing price increases:
Liar-in-Chief Anthony Albanese, who has lied about everything since he was elected by less than a third of the primary vote, plus Green preferences. All Albanese's policies and lies, the Voice being the main one, are covering up the effects of increasing prices and a drastic fall in Australian living standards and freedoms. When things get to hot, he scuttles off overseas to meet with other globalist autocrats. In his short dictatorship, he has done more travelling than Marco Polo. And he gets paid more than the US President to bugger up Australia, and turn it into New China. Posted by ttbn, Wednesday, 12 July 2023 11:39:35 AM

And, of course, Albanese tries to bribe Australians (with their own taxes) to make them think he cares. But again, Australians seem unaware that every time governments hand out subsidies, or interfere in business, prices go up.

Cost of living invariably increases with Labor Governments, at least in Australia. The first to get pay rises are the least deserving & those who desperately need one are ignored !
Labor's priority are the bureadroids & Peter Principal career climbers ! Posted by Indyvidual, Wednesday, 12 July 2023 1:03:12 PM

Dear Shadow Minister,
Mr Albanese has stressed the need for government to work "hand-in-hand" with the Reserve Bank and Finance Minister Katy Gallagher has stated: " We accept people are doing it tough. We accept that economic growth is slowing - as we try to deal with this inflation challenge." The Prime Minister has left the door open to providing further cost of living relief for struggling Australians but he cautioned against expectations of a "cash splash." We've seen cheaper child care, parental leave extended, a tripling of the Medicare bulk billing rate so that more Australians can see a doctor for free. We saw funding for Medicare Urgent Care Clinics so more people can get access to a doctor. We saw energy price relief, a $3 billion plan between the Commonwealth and state and territory governments to take that pressure off energy price increases as well. I don't envy government trying to solve this crisis. I still get the feeling that Australia is better off than many other countries. Hopefully, it will continue to deal with its inflation challenges by taking the right economic advice. Posted by Foxy, Wednesday, 12 July 2023 2:38:26 PM

"Anthony Albanese has been accused of spending too much time 'shaking the hands of foreign leaders' while thousands of households struggle - as a new survey reveals support for the Prime Minister is dwindling amid the cost of living crisis.
New polling obtained by The Australian revealed that just 13 per cent of voters believe Mr Albanese is doing enough to combat the rising cost of living.
Of over 3,000 Australians polled by CT group, 36 per cent believed the Labor government has acted 'very poorly' in relieving households of financial stress.
Just 30 per cent said the government has done 'somewhat poorly' on the matter while just 13 per cent said the government is managing 'somewhat well'.
Only a quarter of those polled believe the economy is being adequately handled.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's net approval rating has declined by nine points since March, now standing at plus six per cent."
