“Dialogue with Muslims is not possible because they have nothing in common”
FH: the commandments, Jesus pbuh and all prophets is what we have in common.
1. According to the Bible, Allah is not God.
FH: Allah: is Arabic for God and its all over the Van Dyek Bible (order a free copy through the Egyptian Bible society).
“2. Muhammed is not a prophet”
FH: Right! So an honest illiterate Sheppard in the middle of nowhere decide to invent a new religion at the age of 40. Because he loved to be persecuted the following 2 decades! Why would the Quran glorify all Isrealite prophets (including Jesus and Moses) but rarely mentions prophet Mohamed?
1. Islam has rejected the essential teachings of the Word of God.
FH: Islam confirms the commandments, prayers, fasting, help the poor, honour the parents, be truthful, sponsor the widow and the orphan. Which ‘essential teaching’ of God is missing in your views?
2. Islam doesn't recognize Jesus Christ as Saviour or The Son of God.
FH: Son Of God is a theory introduced by the Nicea creed 325AD. In fact, the trinity was debatable for another 56 years (381AD) on whether the Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity. Throughout the Bible Jesus refers to himself as a lesser being than the Father (on the cross and when asked about judgement day “Only the father knows”)
3. The person and work of Christ is the crucial divider between Christianity and Islam.
FH: Jesus should not be a divider for us but a common ground for a dialogue and not a debate.
5. Islam’s so-called prophet brought an erroneous message from a false spirit that is totally opposed to the Gospel of God's grace.
FH: any 5 y.o. who read authentic meaning translation will tell you that the Quran confirms the contents of the Torah and the Bible. Islam never claimed to be a ‘new religion’.
Grow up,
