Courtney is now advocating and encouraging violence towards Adriana - I can't believe that "our Nic" would support such action. If Courtney is typical, I can see now why Nicole has to take out AVO's to protect herself from these over-zealous fans. Courtney calm down. You have some serious anger management issues. Nicole is fine and she is laughing all the way to the bank as the more we all discuss her good and bad attributes it maintains her media profile and therefore her bankability.

While Fearless is not so fearless as to write under her own name, she is most comfortable in personally attacking Adriana for (what she sees as) personally attacking Nicole. Go figure.

Get a life people. You wouldn't be getting all hot and bothered if this satire wasn't ringing true.

Welcome to the Online National Forum - we all look forward to your opinion of the other essays here - on the Kyoto Protocol by Alexander Downer for instance. Although I suggest that if you want to gain any respect for your opinion, that you do not begin your second post here with an expletive. Another suggestion - you will have a better life if you choose idols who have a shorter list of EX-BOYFRIENDS than Ms Minogue. In kindness, Brownie (female age 56)

Go Brownie!

I bet you never expected Online Opinion to be your gateway into the trash magazines! It is always interesting to be across the mindset of crazed celebrity fans although you may now need to sleep with one eye open!

I don't believe Queen Nicole would approve of bad language - most unseemly for a fan of someone with such a sweet caring image. UNICEF may have to drop her if this continues.

My comment was directed at the now deleted post from NicoleFan - which began with a synonym of swive, and which was composed in SMS-type text, with foul language. My riposte looks pretty silly without it's inspiration. Perhaps someone could contribute an essay addressing the affect of trash mags on developing minds.

AM, I am not personally attacking Adrianna, I don't know her personally so I have no idea what kind of person she is but from her article, what it shows of her is not nice. What I disagree with is her article and opinion and of course, her lack of basic civility, which however you cut it, is seriously/evidently lacking in her article. I haven't insinuated about the strengths of her relationships or dismissed them, or dismiss her status as a role model. I don't know her enough to vehemently state my hatred for her. Disagreeing with what she has written, calling her on her behaviour as written in her article are not personal attacks, if my saying what she wrote about Kidman reveals more about Adrianna than Kidman then if the shoe fits, she should be able to wear it.

I guess it isn't much fun when the tables are turned and support isn't coming from all corners. It seems that these days insolence is something to be congratulated and taken as fun, go figure.

Well now we have some hilarious comments.. Courtney says "she's got millions of dollars".. err.. so what? Does that mean we should all bow down and praise her..

As for the various comments about her (ahem) charity work... please stop. My sides are splitting. Folks, wake up! It's called promoting yourself around awards time.. "Our Nic" (and many others), still see fit to insist of multi-million dollar pay packets. Hmm... sounds hypocritical to me. The point I'm trying to make is that I can't see there's is really great personal sacrifice on the part of these people. I certainly haven't seen many celebs saying "i'll donate 90% of my $15million to charity x". Sure, when little people like us donate, we don't give 90% of our wage, but we don't have hoards of disposable income lying around. And blue collar works work just as hard for their measly income as over-paid hollywood actors..

Someone (I think fearless) also suggested "our nic" uses her connections to promote australia. Hmm.. she uses her connections to promote Nicole Kidman. Now that she's left Tom, why not move back to australia, insist on films being done here to increase tourism and jobs. If she's so great, and demand so much power in hollywood, she should be able to bring them out here. Having a full-time publicist keeping her on the cover of who weekly is hardly supporting australia.

The thing that frustrates me, and many others is the ridiculous amount of attention and press coverage that she gets (yes, her publicist ensures it's on-going - it's not just an accident). I certainly wouldn't rate her as a great actress. Stealing an oscar from Julianne Moore in the Hours was as close as she ever got. As stated already, there are plenty of good australian actors who don't carry on half as much as her.
