The colonisers got the idea of that dreadful slavery practice from the Muslims & commercialised it. However, by desiring all that the colonisers offered, the one vital factor, effort & forward planning wasn't adopted. So, having had the benefit of colonisation, the colonised rejected the idea of effort & concentrated on centuries of blame instead. This of course got them to where they're now. Starving & aimless !
I just feel extremely sad for the many decent Africans we see on News reports who deal with terrible adversity yet still follow through with trying to help their fellow citizens whilst being hampered by the stupid !

Just about every african country had a far better education system in place and better infrastructure than it has presently. This is overwhelmingly due to rampant government corruption that has stolen most of the money for essential services etc.

Foreign aid used to be directly stolen, now that the aid organisations directly run their aid programs, the African governments now rely on aid to provide services and steal the little money they used to spend. The statement that aid to Africa is taking money from the poor in rich countries to give to the rich in poor countries has more than a little truth.

If colonisation was really that bad, why is it that all the colonised keep bleating discrimination when they can't get enough of the colonisers' commodities ? I might be misinterpreting when I see non-Caucasians living utterly lavish lifestyles but i don't seem to see their people accusing them of discrimination ?
I personally know quite a number of Australian indigenous who are way more well-off than many caucasian Australians, just from making up a quota in the Public Service !

The Africans are doing the colonizing now. Nearly a million of mostly fit young men just marched into Europe, and into Germany, uninvited. Throughout most of history, they would have had to come as an army, with weapons to do something like that.

Europe needs to ensure it takes the more intelligent, willing to work, and fit in migrants.

British History gets noticed because it was an empire.
