However, of course Qld's new Labor Premier and by coincidence her female Police Minister, female Justice Minister, female Attorney General and her female Minister Minister for Communities, Women and Youth, Minister for Child Safety and Minister for Multicultural Affairs are all hell-bent on supporting 'bikies' rights' and on 'deep sixing' the previous government's successful anti-bikie legislation that survived bikie appeals with expensive silks all of the way up to the High Court of Australia (where the final appeal failed). While successive federal governments have, with an eye for their marginal seats, always spun the motherhood of 'Wonderful Migrants' and to the extent that migrants became sacred cows, any independent research (that would never attract a guvvy grants or support in a university) would show that all has never been rosy where migrants are concerned and there has always been a sizeable rump ho should never have been allowed into the country. Research would also show that some claimed migrants success such as the Snowy were not the successes they are touted to be either. Immigration is like the Prelate's Egg, good and bad in parts. Reviews in the UK for example have found that immigration only benefits the migrants. However, such is the political cynicism of the political parties in trying to shore up the ethnic vote in marginal seats that the ethnic tail always wags the government dog and the goals of immigration and public good are continually disregarded. Well OTB you may not have noticed that the moslem vote decided who
became President of France. The vote counting has shown that the previous incumbent would have been returned except for the vote in moslem areas of Paris. Approx 90% from memory. It appears that moslems generally vote socialist which is ironic as when they take over the first to get the chop will be the lefties for their support of women, same sex marriage and the homosexuals will go for the high jump. A similar situation seems to be on the cards in the Capital of Europe, Brussels. Anti moslem parties are gaining strength in France, Holland, Austria and most ex Eastern block countries. Bazz,
It has never been explained to the public why some groups including Muslims are being given preference above other migrants who present less risk, have needed skills and are a good match with the Australian culture. However the public realise it is a political decision and something they have never given any government a mandate for. Posted by onthebeach, Saturday, 17 October 2015 11:52:13 PM

It is a puzzle I agree.
It is I think related to politically correctness and a desire to show how unbiased we are in all our policies. I had a read about Islamic wars last night and I think it gave a good picture of why we should oppose Islam in every way we can find. Europe has been invaded by Moslems five times. India was invaded twice and occupied for some hundreds of years. The whole Middle East was invaded and occupied by the moslem Arabs. They are still there making trouble. Somewhere in the Koran it talks of occupying Rome, meaning Europe of course. I believe the Arab countries will collapse as oil sales decline and they will no longer be able to finance real wars but emigration will get a real burst and may well be a much bigger problem than the present emigration. Watch Egypt, it is in a very precarious economic situation. It has a volatile population that has already removed one dictator because he could not keep food & fuel subsidies at high levels. As the Gulf states feel the pinch of low oil prices they will stop subsidising Egypt. Posted by Bazz, Sunday, 18 October 2015 11:27:25 AM

Ha, OTB, I just finished writing the above and then read this;
http://tinyurl.com/q79b7gt This relates to Saudi Arabia in particular but it will apply to all ME oil supply. While ever the price remains well below $100 there will not be the money to finance mosques everywhere like the Saudis have been doing. They have also been financing the Sunni rebels in Syria so that will no doubt suffer a cut. The big problem might be if they cut Egypt. It could mean 45 million people on the march. You are right when you say that there are ways to discourage criminals (and the introduction of toxic political systems and cultural traditions), but and it is a BIG but, that relies on the government in power at the time. The public need to be asking why federal and State governments have allowed these violent, drug and gun importing gangs have been allowed to operate in Australia for over fifty years and why they rely on migrants for new blood and how they can operate internationally.
Atv the same time you should bear in mind the corrupting influence of the millions being made by the OMGs every year.
The very reason I draw attention to the violent, drug-dealing outlaw motorcycle gangs that are again back in cahoots with senior police in Queensland (a particular problem attacked by previous LNP Premier Newman) and rapidly expanding their drug territory, are the very obvious changes since Labor Premier Annastasia Palaszczuk's government has been in office.
Many would see it as no coincidence that a Southport court let off with a slap on the wrist, the bikies who brawled violently in a public place in and outside a family restaurant in Broadbeach, Qld. Many would be aware too that one of them very soon later stands accused of running his girlfriend off the road and beating her to death, allegedly with the heavy steel cover he took from telephone relay.
As in Sydney and elsewhere, the gangs are dominated by a Middle Eastern influence, many of whom are just criminals and don't even ride motorcycles. The most recent OMG from NZ is making rapid progress on the Gold Coast and Logan (see my earlier links).
