Growing unease about Muslim immigration should be a part of our political conversation.

The Australian business elite and their representatives in Canberra are already struggling to attract the "Skilled" migrants they claim to want, is it not the case that applications for migration to this country fell drastically in the last financial year?
I read somewhere that the shortfall was in the order of 175,000, the reality is that combined with the stage de-industrialisation of the continent the student visa scam has destroyed wages and conditions in traditionally immigrant friendly industries.
As a graduate or a person with technical skills why would you emigrate to earn $5 per hour in one of the most expensive cities on earth when you could stay in China or India and earn $2 per hour but where the cost of living is much, much less and you have your traditional family support networks to fall back on?

We 'so do', as the chocolate commercial goes, need new conservative options; preferably not the tattoed bikie type, which puts true conservatives right off. The Q-based ALA seems to want to be one of the new right parties. I expect the ALA to be more general than the Q Society. Its manifesto (available onlline) indicates that this will be the case. The Q Society seems to be preoccupied with anti-Islamism. While I am individually anti-Islam as many others are, I'm not sure that a group or party, based on one issue, is healthy or helpful.

Our Prime Minister's uninformed views of Islam, and the fact that Muslim leaders welcome his attitude "with open arms" is very bad news for Australia.

The recent, invented concept of 'multiculturalism' forced on us by politicians (well, Malcolm Fraser) without consultation has proved what many of us already knew - that it is dangerous and divisive- by the advent of mass Muslim immigration, a KNOWN tool of intended world - rule by Islam.

We had a perfectly fair and decent immigration policy with no racial discrimination. All RACES are equal; all CULTURES are NOT equal, as Islam shows beyond all doubt.

We are speaking of a group here who defeated the Russians in Afghanastan, and confounded the Americans in Iraq.
This is a group with a collective amazing ability to survive.
Best of luck Australia, you have no hope!

ttbn, without government intervention and the purposeful importation of fully subsidised migrants or partially subsidised students immigration would quickly fall away to almost zero as it did in the mid 1970's.

Muslim immigration of the Islamic faith needs to be stopped immediately, We have taken in enough immigrants from that part of the world.

These people are dealing with culture shock, They had come from a repressive society, and new no other way of life. The Muslim men are the woman’s mentor, and ruler. Why can’t the Koran be modified to fit in with their chosen new land.

Australian law does not tolerate certain aspects of the Koran, so our leaders have got to make progress in working with the Muslim leaders to make amends to Islamic faith so it complies with Australian law.

You can not be taught one thing but not allowed to put it into practice. We need an Australian Islamic Koran.

Demonstrations or hatred against these people are not serving us as a nation, it is the failing of successive governments to address the problem of assimilation, when they are being taught something different altogether.

The lesson from our recent past is that ignoring them, or denigrating them, or attempting to marginalise them, won’t result in harmony, but a political explosion.

That is a lesson that the minority, as much as the majority, needs to heed.

One platform political parties are only going to spread hatred against a breed of people.

Our politicians can bring about change in the way these people are taught.
This is where pressure is needed to solve this problem.

All islamic muslims are teachable for new ideals and still have their Australian Islamic faith

Again, I'll challenge anyone to post an Koranic law that does not have a similar law in the full bible. As with all stone age religions its more about how people choose it to mean now then what it may have meant in the past.

As the new political parties, what are they going to try to bring back the white Australian policy?
It's funny how easily freedom loving people are willing to reduce other peoples freedoms.
